That is a beautiful story!Where I was at that point in my life, they were just happy I found something, anything other than the trouble I was getting in. I used to be a straight gang banger dope dealer when I found Islam. In Islam, I found a written program for how to live with the 5 pillars, 1 god, pray, give charity, fast for Rahmadan, and pilgrimage. In that order. It simplified my relationship with God and I was very satisfied with the simplicity (1 God no trinity, no mystery). Certain things in Islam ended up not sitting right with me (some things about it being ok to kill in certain situations, when thou shall not kill.) I got a girlfriend who was Christian as it was ok to marry a non-muslim if you are a man. I started reading in the Quran about Jesus and everywhere I read it was calling Jesus the Christ and I didn’t see any conflict with what the bible said about Jesus (miracles Virgin Mary etc). So I started reding the Bible.
At that time I had a miracle happen to me. I had been diagnosed with Khron’s disease
and I was in unbearable pain. I was in the corner on the floor begging Allah to give me relief and I thought I was being punished for studing Jesus so much. It just got worse until I called on the name of Jesus and he healed my disease. I have no trace of Khron’s disease ever since then. I came to be a Christian soon after and not I’m joining RCIA as the more I study, the more I trace things back to the beginning of all churches, the Catholic Church. I still have some dogma issues but I decided that’s what RCIA is for.
Sorry, didn’t mean to be so long winded but I wanted to witness as an ex Muslim who was given a miracle by Jesus when I literally called his name in one of the most painful times of my life. All I said was “Jesus, if you can hear me, please help me.” and he did
