Could Mary confect the Eucharist, if she wanted to?
Nope. That is an authority conferred upon ordained priests, which Mother Mary was not…Could Mary confect the Eucharist, if she wanted to?
Very very nice thanks. No, she is not a priest, and so could not, nor would she try.
In the Eucharist, Jesus Christ is present sacramentally, under the appearance of bread and wine. Mary however made Christ present in his fullness, not under the appearance of bread and wine, but in all the fullness of his humanty.
Making Christ present in his humanity is an honor infinitely greater than the honor of making Jesus Christ present sacramentally.
What was from the beginning,
what we have heard,
what we have seen with our eyes,
what we looked upon
and touched with our hands
concerns the Word of life—
for the life was made visible;
we have seen it and testify to it
and proclaim to you the eternal life
that was with the Father and was made visible to us—
(1 John 1:1-2)
The priest makes Christ present for us sacramentally. The Mother of God made God present for us as a human.
And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)
And they saw his glory.

Mary conceived the original
I’m sure she would have humbly received the Eucharist from the Apostles though.
Did Mary actually need sacramental grace, since she was “full of grace”? Now there’s one for ya’…Mary conceived the original

No, but she could always have her son do it (Jesus is both man and God in hypostatic union).Could Mary confect the Eucharist, if she wanted to?
Need? No, but there is no such thing as too much grace is there?Did Mary actually need sacramental grace, since she was “full of grace”? Now there’s one for ya’…
She was full of grace, and therefore perfectly able to receive the Body of Christ.Did Mary actually need sacramental grace, since she was “full of grace”? Now there’s one for ya’…
Tim participating in making bread and wine become the body, blood, soul and divinity of Christ by being “in persona Christi” is less amazing? Less of an honor? Priest does not make Christ present Christ makes Christ present. No, she is not a priest, and so could not, nor would she try.

yes. A priest’s actions are exceptionally amazing, but Mary’s actions make her the Queen of Heaven, the most exalted of all of God’s creations. Without the miraculous birth of Christ (through Mary) then there would be no Incarnation, no final Paschal sacrifice, and no new covenant priesthood… so yes, Mary deserves exceptional honors, even above priests.Tim participating in making bread and wine become the body, blood, soul and divinity of Christ by being “in persona Christi” is less amazing?
In one way only.Could Mary confect the Eucharist, if she wanted to?
