And you claimed to refute that with the information on a link. Except your link didn’t provide that information.
OK… Can we agree that at least one person was killed that did not need to die! Are you justifying the killings? Either way, I am not. Killing anyone is killing another person. Wrong, Wrong, Wrong.

I just realized that this is moot point, because we are both too hard headed to see what the topic actually was, and we have gone waaaayyy off topic.

So, OK… You won, I was wrong.

God Bless… I have go to a game!

Well to me a child’s life is not small, but that’s just me!
Exactly.

To get back to Ann, she simply has a unique “brand” of humor. She’s trying to pull the
truth out. She does this by shocking people into seeing it. I’m not offended by her.
She has a biting sense of humor. Some people walk right into the bite.

Again, why so judgmental? Now the people that disagree with you are not good Catholics.
Ok… you are right, I was wrong… I am the bad Catholic for not admiring someone whose humor puts down people in stereotypical fashion. For real, I am leaving this time!

I would agree that millions have died that shouldn’t have at the hands of people like Tiller. All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

Actually you directed that to the people on this forum that were responding to your posts. I seriously doubt that Ann Coulter has ever bashed on you.

Ann Coulter speaks her mind and is very adept at using the language to point out liberal double-speak. I do not think she is evil. On the contrary, I think she is very good, but not in a namby-pamby way. People who want to sugar-coat the truth cannot perceive her wit and insight.
The truth hurts, and people don’t like the messenger! 👍

“I am personally opposed to shooting abortionists, but I don’t want to impose my moral values on others,” Coulter insisted. “If you don’t believe in shooting abortionists, then don’t shoot an abortionist.”

After O’Reilly continued objecting by condemning the murder, Coulter explained that her remarks were meant to parallel the pro-abortion argument: “If you don’t believe in abortion, don’t have an abortion.”

Citing American Liberalism’s support of abortion-on-demand and euthanasia, Coulter said, “in this one case, they’re finally against someone dying: a man responsible for killing 60,000 babies.”

Coulter is using the exact language of the abortionist and mirroring/reflecting it back at them. It is interesting that Libs. would be so upset about their own language.🤷

Good Grief… it was satire! About a guy who KILLED 60,000 babies.

pick a priority…

She used the words of pro abortion people to make a point.

SO what you are writing is that it is justifiable? Will you either say yes or no… I am tired of the sidestepping, as I am sure many others are. If you think it is ok to kill a Dr who practices abortion at least have the gall to say that!

Your link lost all credibility when the first thing that pops us is the “sponsored link” advertising “abortions to 24 weeks, awake or twilight sleep.”

No serious person would read past that point.

23 clinic killings in 10 years is far from 5 killings in 40 years!
It’s hard to find an impartial souce on this but according to Wikipedia, which seemed to use the Abortion Federation as it’s main source, the number is 9 since 1993, which the AF says was the first time an abortionist was killed.
Murders
In the U.S., violence directed toward abortion providers has killed at least nine people, including five doctors, two clinic employees, a security guard, and a clinic escort.[4]
March 10, 1993: Dr. David Gunn of Pensacola, Florida was fatally shot during a protest. He had been the subject of wanted-style posters distributed by Operation Rescue in the summer of 1992. Michael F. Griffin was found guilty of Dr. Gunn’s murder and was sentenced to life in prison.
July 29, 1994: Dr. John Britton and James Barrett, a clinic escort, were both shot to death outside of another facility in Pensacola. Rev. Paul Jennings Hill was charged with the killings, received a death sentence, and was executed September 3, 2003.
December 30, 1994: Two receptionists, Shannon Lowney and Lee Ann Nichols, were killed in two clinic attacks in Brookline, Massachusetts. John Salvi, who prior to his arrest was distributing pamphlets from Human Life International,[5] was arrested and confessed to the killings. He died in prison and guards found his body under his bed with a plastic garbage bag tied around his head. Salvi had also confessed to a non-lethal attack in Norfolk, Virginia days before the Brookline killings.
January 29, 1998: Robert Sanderson, an off-duty police officer who worked as a security guard at an abortion clinic in Birmingham, Alabama, was killed when his workplace was bombed. Eric Robert Rudolph, who was also responsible for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Park bombing, was charged with the crime and received two life sentences as a result.
October 23, 1998: Dr. Barnett Slepian was shot to death at his home in Amherst, New York. His was the last in a series of similar shootings against providers in Canada and northern New York state which were all likely committed by James Kopp. Kopp was convicted of Dr. Slepian’s murder after finally being apprehended in France in 2001.
May 31, 2009: Dr. George Tiller was shot and killed as he served as an usher at his church in Wichita, Kansas.[6]
As a Math teacher, do you think that 9 is closer to 5 or to 23? 😉

The number 4 was probably the number of abortion providers killed prior to Tiller. The others were clinic workers but not abortionists themselves.

I like, really like, Mz Coulter and her humor. She is outspoken in defense of the unborn, God-fearing folks who are routinely mocked by liberals, traditional marriage,US constitution (not some evolving document) and more. I do think she is courageous! How many liberals have had rotten food et al thrown @ them while attempting to speak publically? How many liberal speakers have to have armed police protection? She has spoken of her liberal friends and one of them is Geraldo Rivera (sp?) Hurt peoples feelings? When libs refer to my ilk (pro life, Orth.Catholic, conservative)as fascist, neanderthal, judgemental, etc I do not get my feelings hurt. Those who get hurt feelings from what Ann Coulter says/writes have issues way beyond her. Wicked is what has been done to Gov. Palin and her family from day 1. Wicked is comparing G.W. Bush to Hitler over and over again and giving those comparisons air time. Wicked is attempting to cast Pope Benedict XVI as a pro Hitler youth, or Pius XII as indifferent or supportive of Hitler.

In all fairness, we should form a discussion book club here at CAF, focusing on Coulter’s books. She is noted for 1) scholarship [hundreds of footnotes/ endnotes and copious documentation; and, 2) for her sharp pen/tongue.

So, we should visit Amazon and buy her books and then discuss the somewhat unique way she has of expressing her thoughts. The irony and sarcasm. Probably the most effective satirist since the fellow who wrote “Gulliver’s Travels” … Jonathan Swift.

http://www.jaffebros.com/lee/gulliver/

If any of the posters have NOT read “Gulliver’s Travels”, they should. It’s a great read.

And then compare and contrast Swift to Coulter.

Here is the Amazon page with Coulter’s books; eight * NY Times’ best sellers.

amazon.com/s/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_k2k_2/181-7590398-6472646?%5Fencoding=UTF8&keywords=ann%20coulter&index=blended&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_r=0YXC96ZVB2RJ0XW9FBX1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=304485901&pf_rd_i=1400054206

It is very difficult to have a rational discussion about Coulter when she gives her books such inflammatory titles:

amazon.com/Godless-Church-Liberalism-Ann-Coulter/dp/1400054214/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1245979738&sr=8-4*

Its called “satire” She was showing the absurdity of the so called pro-choice position. Heres the entire exchange:
“I don’t really like to think of it as a murder. It was terminating Tiller in the 203rd trimester.”
When pressed by O’Reilly on this statement, Coulter replied,
“I am personally opposed to shooting abortionists, but I don’t want to impose my moral values on others.”

When Swift encouraged Irish Woment to eat their young do you thik he was serious or using satire to make a point.
True, when Jonathan Swift engaged in satire, as he often did, he did catch quite a lot of grief.

Evidently, everyone is taking my recommendation seriously and buying Coulter’s books. Amazon was running very slow this evening. With the result that I got timed out.

Anyway, the title of one of her books … the one with the link that I provided below … is:

Godless: The Church of Liberalism (Paperback)
by Ann Coulter (Author)
3.6 out of 5 stars See all reviews (951 customer reviews)

That’s a LOT of reviews!!

But you get the idea.

Coulter does not abide by the double standard for liberals/conservatives. One standard applicable to both.

Libs don’t like that.

Just to let everyone know… I was warned by the moderator of this thread because I was “insulted another user”… For the misunderstanding, I am sorry. I would never “report” anyone to a moderator in a heated discussion. I believe that if your morals are such that you are willing to defend them, then you should not be offended when you as a person are characterized by your words. It is a sad say when someone is scolded like a child for voicing their opinion to another adult who is dishing out the same type of inconsequential rhetoric.

Like I have already written, I can take it, if you can’t, then do not respond to me and turn right around and report something you do not want to hear.

I hope the moderator keeps this up, because I am newly back to the faith, and want to learn as much as I can about our faith; regardless of who is writing to me or their tone.

p.s. those who are bashing me because of my error in grammar or because the site I referenced… I hope you too got a warning, if not it is a shame on this board!

What Al said, the Libs can’t even take their own exact words regurgitated back to them. :manvspc:
