We need to help all, not just the unborn. That is why I voted for Obama… I do not want to pad the wallets of the already super-rich.
Could you reconcile that statement with billions of dollars that the Obama Administration has given to corporations and to unions? I think you voted for the wrong candidate if you goal was to NOT pad the wallets of the super rich.

I agree :clapping:
Ann has a very dry sense of humor and she says things to draw attention to the “truth.”
And she’s successful more often than not. She’s unique. Really unique.
The fact that she can successfully get under someone’s skin is proof of her effectiveness.
Rock on, Ann!

Actually I thought that was pretty flippin halarious. And no where did she say kill civilians.
This is the women who said about Muslims:

We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity. We weren’t punctilious about locating and punishing only Hitler and his top officers. We carpet-bombed German cities; we killed civilians. That’s war. And this is war.

Yea, Forced conversion, and Killing civilians without abandon, such a nice funny girl.🤷

I firmly believe that Ann Coulter is one of the reasons the republican party is in such sad shape. (I am a gleefull right winger, by the way)

And his actions are already being judged: The full U.S. 4th Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld the Virigina Partial Birth Infanticide Act in a 6-5 decsion. Judge Wikinsons concurrence is really interesting. He wrote
Quote:
“The future, however, will not be similarly misled. The fact is that we—civilized people—are retreating to the haven of our Constitution to justify dismembering a partly born child and crushing its skull. Surely centuries hence, people will look back on this gruesome practice done in the name of fundamental law by a society of high achievement. And they will shudder.”
What is worse: A person sarcastically saying she opposes killing abortionists, but she doesn’t want to impose her morallity on someone else OR a president who wants to take your tax dollars and fund the killing of the unborn (and who will vote for the Freedom of Choice Act, and who voted against a bill that would require medical treatment for babies who survived an abortion)
Excuse me while I SCREAM.

Dear Lord please forgive us!!! How can you let such a despicable people live! Please forgive these people who can shut their minds and hearts off while they participate in these undescribeable acts. Please forgive the rest of us who bury our heads in the sand and let this happen. Dear Lord I don’t know what I can do to stop this, all I know is with all you have been so gracious to give us I don’t want to say I don’t want to be part of this evil world. It is not all evil, you have given us so many gifts. I just don’t know how to accept and face that this is happening. Please forgive us. Please forgive us.

I apologize to people in this thread, I realize this doesn’t add to the discussion. I find this topic hard to face. While I’m at it I should also thank-you. I could not talk, read about or even think about it until I found this board. It made me feel despair about our world. On this board, I see a different kind of people, good people.

I think Ann Coulter’s sense of humor is wonderful, especially when it catches liberals (no, not all liberals are Godless, but the ones who support abortion should definitely examine their conscience) in their own PC/newspeak language.

The idea that since Tiller was murdered, we can’t criticize him or condemn his actions, including the use of biting wit and sarcasm, is ridiculous. This guy (I’d use another word, maybe a string of them, but I don’t want to get suspended) murdered 60k human beings. Now the fact that society says they are not quite human…well, there used to be a time in America when African-Americans were deemed inferior and in Nazi Germany, they deemed Jews and other groups as not-quite-human and deserving of extermination. Just because a given culture approves of an act does not make that act moral or justifiable.

Liberals love to tell everyone to keep their morals to themselves. Fine, then I say we legalize murder, rape and every others crime because how dare we push our morals onto others and we should apologize to the Germans for interfering in their domestic policy back in WW2 (this all is said with sarcasm of course). But in the end, isn’t this the final result of this idea of subjective morality that secularists love to banter around?

Coulter is not to be blamed for the sorry state of the Republican Party.

When the Republican Party sticks to principled conservatism, they win elections.

It’s only when the Republicans attempt to mimic Democrats/Liberals that they lose … the Conservative voters stay home and don’t vote.

Arguably the best Republican ticket for 2012 would be Palin/Coulter.

I suspect that a lot of Coulter’s critics have not actually read her work.

So, here is a link:

If you visit www.booktv.org there are some interesting interviews with authors and talks by authors about their books.

This link should take you to an interview with Ann Coulter:

Her humor sickens me. To joke about a person, or any person for that manner being killed is wrong… and personally I do not think her “humor” was for laughs…
It’s still a free country & personal tastes are just that.🙂

Ann is terrific, the women can take it, but she sure can give it back.
The only problem is some like to give it but don’t like to take it.
Good on ya Ann coulter……👍👍👍👍.
She defends the right for little babies to live and has the guts to call a spade a spade. 😃

At least they look like women. And that does threaten the other side.
I love it!

I get the feeling you simply don’t get it.

This is not a joke about a murder. It is a statement of the irony in the pro-abortion position.

Has anyone considered that the humor people find in the position wouldn’t be there at all were it not for the insanity inherent in the pro-abortion position?

And Jonathan Swift didn’t really mean to advocate the consumption of Irish infants either…😃
It’s a dark kind of humor.

I recently heard a hospice worker make an astonishing comment that has stuck with me.

This hospice worker, a good Christian woman, said she had seen many people on their death bed have to come to terms with their inevitable death. She said some deaths were beautiful events filled with prayer, thanksgiving and family. She said other deaths were not. She said at death violent people experience violence (she didn’t expand to say in what form). She also said in her experience atheists had the most difficult time - but this is beside the point. Her summary comment she made that struck me like a brick was “People die how they lived.” I immediately sensed this was an original wisdom that could only have been born of first hand experience.

Later I saw that it applied concretely to Tiller’s death. He died how he lived.

I didn’t laugh.

Well, I did laugh re. Ann Coulter, because I enjoy most of what she says, but Dr. Tiller’s death does connect to the way he lived. Both he & those poor infants who died at his hands in his clinic, were killed violently & without their consent.

Given that Hospice attempts to make people as comfortable as possible, whatever violence is likely not something we normally would perceive.

It makes one shudder to consider what Tiller may have perceived in those last few moments.

Cracker Mom,
I read one of Ann’s book a couple of years back - the title escapes me - and I did laugh out loud as a result of biting wit. She doesn’t pull any punches that’s for sure.

Peter

PeterK, thanks for that post and for passing on the condensed wisdom of this sentence: “People die how they lived.”

This is a stark reminder for all of us about the necessity of repenting of our sins now, and getting close to God NOW.

I’ve read about the deaths of Lenin and Stalin. According to eyewitness accounts, they both experienced extreme terror, fear, and anger. Their deaths were not peaceful.

George Tiller was an evil man who practiced an evil trade. He compounded his sin by attempting to appear as a benefactor of women. He is portrayed as a “martyr” along with the likes of Harvey Milk, another twisted man who was also murdered. Was it retribution? Or karma. The world is better off without him.
