Lisa…( and all the rest of “us” here on these forums) Much as I love a good debate, I really am tired of these guys (Like our friend here) that come in here and (Please pardon the expression) puke up all this hatred and A/C rhetoric.

Therefore I would like to suggest that from now on whenever such a thread is posted, that we all just simply refuse to respond since the poster in question is obviously just bashing and is anything BUT attempting to dialog in charity,(as Michaelp does, God bless him).

We all know that we have valid answers to valid questions, but this is not valid or honest and it’s a waste of time. We could be praying our Rosaries or feeding the hungry or some other work of mercy. I for one intend to carry out what I have suggested beginning with this post right here.

Yes, I guess I let him get to me,I dealt with that with my family.I just can’t understand the hatefulness I am a Michaelp fan,too Redeemed1 seems to bring the Father Caropi charism in me I will try not to react(might have to get a prescription for some of these posts) God Bless,Lisa

I would like to challenge all of you to an honest prayerful reading of the Bible.

I have read through the Bible many times and each time I do I find new things to praise and thank God for. I honestly believe that if each of you would do that starting at Genesis you will all be thinking differently by the end of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
You will find as you read that Jesus and the New Testament writers confirm all that was revealed in the Old Testament and goes beyond, since what was not revealed in the Old is opened up in the New.

Prayerfully ask God to show you His truth. His truth is what counts.

I did that (OK; I didn’t do it in order, but I read the whole Bible). By the time I was finished, I was convinced that the Catholic Church was the Church that Jesus established on earth. Was I happy about it? No. It meant giving up a great deal. But it has been worth everything.

Your description of being slammed upside the knot with fresh insights when Scripture is approached prayerfully is one shared by all of us who do that. Are you familiar with the ancient practice of “praying Scripture” known as Lectio Divina – Divine Reading?
