Thank you for your prayers everyone! I really appreciate them!

Anyway, I went to stay the night with my boyfriend last night so that way I could go to an appointment with my Obstetrician with him the next day. My doctor is an hour’s drive away from where I live and I don’t have a car. Plus, David always wants to go to the appointments too so that he can know how his son is doing. The appointment went well. My blood pressure was high on my first reading. It was 148 over 78. I am not sure if I got the bottom number correct or not, but I know the top number is correct. My doctor then did another reading on my lower arm to check again about 10 minutes after the first reading and it was lower at 131 over 81. Again, I am sure I have the top number correct but I am not sure about the bottom number. The reason why I mention this is because as I have said before, I am at risk for pre-eclampsia which is high blood pressure during pregnancy which can be fatal and can also result in me having to give birth prematurely in order to save my life should my blood pressure become too out of control. Everything else was normal. My baby’s heartbeat was a little fast at 160 beats per minute, but my doctor told me that it is a normal reading and that more than likely he was just being active at the moment.

I should let you know that your prayers for my finger have been answered. I have not been having anywhere nearly as much finger pain as I was having. However, I am now having pain in the back of the palm of each hand from time to time and it can be quite severe at times. I believe it is due to my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I forgot to mention it to my doctor. My Obstetrician is also my Family Doctor.

I would also appreciate your prayers for one other thing. I have been having headaches every single day. At times, the headaches are severe but usually they are moderate in intensity. Often times if I take one dose of Acetaminophen it does not go away but it does reduce in intensity but then the intensity goes back to as before once the Acetaminophen wears off. I believe that these headaches are due to allergies. I take allergy medication every day, but I still get some headaches due to them. Allergy season is particularly severe this year because we have had a very wet Spring.
