Have any of you who are married had a short courtship? If so, how long have you been married?
I’ve basically come to the conclusion that there really is no right or wrong way when it comes to the length of courtship. That it all boils down to commitment.
I’ve seen and heard of people who have met and married within months of the first meeting and who have been married a lifetime. Then there are others who dated the standard year and a half or two, married and then divorced. I overheard on a talk radio program of a woman who thought she knew her husband. They had known each other a total of 7 years. I believe they had dated for three and were married for 4. She learned that he had been having an affair with the same woman for 2 years. As it was once said to me, you could be married for 30 years and not know your spouse.
Do any of you have any stories or thoughts you would like to share?
