No you don’t know what the Catholic Church teaches…
If you did you would not have stated that we believe we are saved by works.
If you take a gander at that link, you will also see the the ref to the bible passages…
So again first find out what we really believe. Get it from the source. Not from some anti-or non Catholic source…
You obviously don’t know what the catholics teach.
catholics are aslo forgiven by penances, [Works]
The Catholic Church gave you Bible you keep quoting. Why would the Catholic Church put together a Book that disagrees with what she teaches?
Thats a good question, You should ask the pope why he, And catholics don’t believe the Bible.

It is quite obvious that you don’t know what the catholics teach, They say,

Anyone who says they are saved by faith alone, Without works of satisfaction, They let that person be anathema.

So catholics say Paul lost his salvation, Because he said, [Inspired by God],
By grace are you saved by faith, NOT BY WORKS, Lest any man should boast.

And,
Not by WORKS of righteousnes that we have done, But by His mercy we are saved.

So Either God got it wrong or the catholics did, I will leave you to judge.
Can I make a suggestion to you, my Christian friend?

Start to look at the whole of salvation history and the Lord’s salvific plan for men instead of focusing on what you perceive narrowly in the book of Romans. This subject does seem to have some conflicts at first glance with the teachings of James and Peter… That’s why Peter said in essence that Paul’s doctrine is hard to understand. Still is. The evangelicals will typically use these passages to put down the Church, but I have a feeling that you are capable of much more intellect than that.

This discussion on ‘brothers of the Lord’ is a good one to begin a new interpretation that aligns with the whole of salvation history. Do you remember how protected the arc of the was? Imagine how much more the arc that carried the son of God would be revered by the Lord. Makes me think how much more we should consider Mary’s role as one predestined and sanctified, holy; which you know means ‘set apart’.

I have family members that come from a theological background like yours and unfortunately, their version of scriptural interpretation leads them to depression. I bet you’re more capable and have the eyes to start seeing a wider, more discerning view. Perhaps we should be more like Abraham, who was righteous without scripture to back him up.

While we’re debating, others are handing the Lord a glass of water… I should go and do likewise.

By what authority are you interpreting the Bible?
My authority to teach the Bible is, 1 Cor 12: 28. Eph 4: 11–13.
As I am a God given Bible Teacher.

Also.
My authority to believe and teach the Bible, Comes from the Holy Spirit,
Jn 14: 26. Jn 16: 13–15.
My Authority is in the name of Jesus, Jn 14: 12. Mk 16: 17–20.

Okay, .lets try to simplify this.
Let’s start with the word “authority”. What Denomination or church gave you your preaching credentials to “teach the Bible”? Any?

[1]Why would Evangelicals want to put down the Church??, As they are the Church.

[2]The way of salvation is found in the Bible, AND IT DOESN’T INCLUDE WORKS.

[3]That is only your and the catholics opinion about Mary, But it doesn’t change the Biblical and original Greek Bible texts facts that prove Mary had other children.

[4]We need the scriptures for our foundation, And we need the scriptures to back up what we say.
If you notice, I always back up what I say by the scriptures and the Greek, Whereas catholics just give pure speculation.
I pray that your eyes will be open to the truth.

Yet you are on a forum called “Sacred Scripture”.
You’re not making any sense.

Oh, and I am still waiting for documentation that the Catholic Church started 300 years after Pentecost.

According to the Bible, God is the one who calls us into the Ministry,
Eph 4: 11. 1 Cor 12: 28.
And Anoints us for Ministry, 2 Cor 1: 21.

I have credentials with,
The Bible partern Church.
The New Testament fellowship
The Iternational convention of faith Miniistries and
Full gospel fellowship of Churches and Ministers.

But without the call of God into the Ministry, Those credentials would bt worthles.

You obviously don’t know what the catholics teach.
catholics are aslo forgiven by penances, [Works]
I do know my Catholic faith. And what the Church teaches. I just do not know what you wrongly think we believe.

The Iternational convention of faith Miniistries and
Full gospel fellowship of Churches and Ministers.
Ooookay, now we’re finally out of the starting gate.

Where does the “Full Gospel Fellowship” derive THIER authority to interpret Scripture and delegate authority to thier ministers?

What in the world do you think Im Doing, If I’m not giving you sacred scriptures???.
And the scriptures do make sense.
Let me simplify…again.
You said:

Yet you (Ya know…YOU… Username Saved75) are (posting) on a forum called “Sacred Scripture”.
If Catholics don’t “believe the Bible” why would we have a sub forum dedicated to Sacred Scripture?

BTW, I am STILL waiting for all that historical information on how the Catholic Church started 300 years after Pentecost.

Don’t you believe that faith without works is a dead faith? I’m sure as a teacher of sacred scripture, with your commission you’ve received, you should know that your statement is incorrect. You wouldn’t want to lead any of your students astray would you?

Think about it… your statements might be better served as questions. For example; instead of saying Catholics believe this or that; is it true that Catholics believe that Paul lost his salvation? (Which… by the way is ridiculous)

This is the way of healthy and progressive dialog.

From God and the Bible, Where else do you think it came from??
1 Cor 12: 28. Eph 4: 11. 2 Cor 1: 21.

That is a very good question, I have asked myself that question.

[2]The way of salvation is found in the Bible, AND IT DOESN’T INCLUDE WORKS.
James 2:24 - “See how a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.”

It seems your personal interpretation of the Bible doesn’t agree with what the Bible actually says.

From God and the Bible, Where else do you think it came from??
1 Cor 12: 28. Eph 4: 11. 2 Cor 1: 21.
That’s subjective.
Let’s take this slow.
As in, historical origins of…
does the “Full Gospel Fellowship”
The physical organization
derive THIER authority
physical authority, here on Planet Earth.
to interpret Scripture
As in, something they physically point to.
and delegate (said) authority to thier ministers?
Authority that they possess passed on to others.
