Praying for you. I am so sorry that you have it so difficult with your mother. I am a caregiver for my mother, and I get depressed. She has dementia. Our roles have reversed.

I would say that perhaps your mother has dementia, but you said that she was like that before her stroke. Your mother sounds like my ex mother-In-law, who is now in nursing home, alone. God bless you for taking care of your mother.
