Crossdressing and halloween?

You didn’t show where the church condemned wearing costumes of the opposite sex. You also didn’t demonstrate that cross dressing is sinful, incidentally. Private revelation is not church teaching and Catholics are not bound by Mosaic law so Deuteronomy is not “church teaching” either. It is also not church teaching that women wearing pants is sinful, or considered cross dressing.

If you can’t back up your stance with quotes from the catechism, you might want to reconsider your position before accusing people of causing scandal.

I’m still waiting on an actual Church source. Not an opinion or private revelation.
 
Any scandal is being caused by the truly bizarre notions of those who have a problem with this. It’s a Halloween costume, it’s not cross-dressing.

I would think the major boundaries are modesty and refraining from showing disrespect for that which is sacred. It would not be OK to dress up as a saint, priest or religious in a way that is insulting, disparaging or contemptuous. (Actually, dressing up and disparaging a group you don’t belong to is chancy, exceptingas a critique on those in a position of power. Satire from the weaker aimed at the strongest is generally considered something that can do the strong as much good as harm.)

I actually intend to arrive in my nightgown. Perhaps I will find some matching slippers.

None of your sources have addressed the issue. Can men and women reverse roles and costumes in theatre?

What is an All Boys or All Girls Boarding School supposed to do for their theatre productions? Case in point, my older sister who’s a Religious and holds a Masters in Theology wore a fake beard for a pageant at their Convent.
 
Here’s a good example, Peter Pan has been tastefully performed my numerous women over the years.
