Haha, Trump will most likely steamroll past Cruz before the Democrats will get a chance.

Regardless, congrats to Senator Ted Cruz on winning Wisconsin 👍
Don’t be so sure. Trump keeps hurting himself.

Don’t read something into what someone says. I don’t believe he meant what you have interpreted.
No interpretation needed. I’ve never heard anybody say “glory to someone” in that way. Sounds jarring. Imagine the outrage if a trump supporter said that to trump.

But anyway…

All finalized now: 6 delegates for Trump, 36 for Cruz. None for Kasich. 😦

And so am I. I welcome Cruz v Hillary. Or Cruz v Sanders.
They’re cheering because there is no way Cruz will win in the GE.

We’ve had enough lousy president’s out of Texas and Cruz would be among the worse.

The revolution is back on course. And, no, no one is robbing Mr. Trump of the nomination. Whatever happened to the voice of the people? (that is what it was on Super Tuesday as I recall)

Trump’s statement after his loss last night reaffirms his lack of self-control and inability to stay coherently focused on the task at hand - nominating a GOP candidate who can win in November, uniting the party. And this statement came just a week or so after the “play nice” GOP bosses meeting. I think it will be increasingly difficult for responsible Republicans to back Trump going forward, more and more embarrassing. The fact that he is not the best candidate for us is clear.

This is not to say that Trump will not do well in the Eastern states coming up, but I think Cruz and/or Kasich will be surprisingly competitive in the delegate count. (more likely Cruz than Kasich)

I don’t even agree with Cruz about everything - but I think the GOP base has a right to a nominee that reflects their values, principles.

I welcome the clear choice in November. I think Bernie, if he does not actually win the nomination (I think he has a shot at New York…) will pull the platform to the far left enough to alienate the center. Also Hillary has consistently failed to pull in the youth vote, which will not vote for her in the same numbers they vote for Bernie. The country does not want a third Obama term - this will become key in the general election, much more so than now. Tango in Cuba, anyone?

I believe there is a growing number of moderate Democrats and Republicans who are increasingly alienated by both parties. I admit they will have a pretty tough choice between Hillary (Bernie?) and Cruz, but - you heard it here first - I think Cruz has a very good shot to appeal to enough of these voters to win. (of course I understand Trump could go third party - I am assuming he does not do that and that his GOP voters vote for Cruz - this is possible because enough of them will see Trump for what he is, and is not)

Wisconsin was a turning point.

Someone said that the last five GOP nominees (GHEB, BD, GWB, JM, and MR) were not conservative, which I take to mean that Cruz makes them all look liberal. That makes me a little nervous if it’s true. But I hold out hope.

He is three points down.
  1. I have seen 2 polls where he has a slight lead
  2. RWR (for crying out loud) was down double digits to Carter (for crying out loud) at this point
Cruz gets the nomination, and he wins a squeaker (51-49), unless HRC has the FBI recommend an indictment against her. Then it’ll be a landslide. 🙂

What if something materializes out of the cruz sex scandal?

Similar to the possibility of hillary getting indicted.
I don’t think so. Mine is a supposition based on good evidence (the FBI is investigating her for a reason; we’ve all seen the documents marked classified sent through her private server). Suggesting that Cruz had affairs is a supposition based on shaky evidence provided by a tabloid.

I’m only saying there is a possibility the rumors have some truth in them. It did take cruz several days to unequivocally say he’s always been faithful.
