Yup! I just read the paper! It was a LANDSLIDE!!! 74% against the gay marriage, 24% for it. Score one for Tejas!!!

** Seems the national media hardly mentioned it. They were too busy touting liberal things that passed.**

Like the defeat of California Prop. 73 which would have required doctors to inform parents at least 48 hours before performing an abortion on their daughter. This is terrible. Children can’t take aspirin in schools without parental permission, but they can screw around and get an abortion without parental consent? What are we coming to?

After everthing that I voted for in California yesterday was shot down, I’m really wanting to move to Texas. I think I gotta get away from the “Left Coast”. In this state, my vote is basically not even counted, even in presidential elections. We’re so far to the left, that we can’t see straight anymore. Abortions for 13 year olds without her parents’ notification??? They’re not even requiring parental consent. I thought that even people who support abortion would agree with this law except for the truly anti-life people. I am shocked that it didn’t pass.

Give me Texas any day!!! Good for y’all!

There was an unusually high voter turnout for this issue. I think I read it was the fifth biggest turnout in Texas history - but I could be wrong. I waited quite a while to vote myself yesterday (next time I’ll vote absentee).

Thanks. Finally some good news out of these elections. I guess all the gay, pro-death reporters couldn’t find any stories in Texas.
