In the Golden Era of the Curmudgeonarium, everyone would have blamed me for this.

Since then, it’s been all downhill. 😡:roll_eyes::coffee:

I’ve been busy watching the grass grow. We’ve finally had the first decent rain since Christmas, and little patches of green are emerging. It does happen like this every year, and as the summer dry drags on we reassure ourselves that it will rain in autumn, but until it actually happens we have to worry.

I blame @gertabelle 😠 She’s the senior Mudgie we rely on to keep things moving here, but has gone AWOL.

The Mudgies in training (such as myself) rely so much on the senior Mudgies’ grumpiness to keep us going.

You can have the snow that’s melting all at once since the temps bounced up. Eight inches of snow is a good bit.
I’ve been trying to catch up on my reading of Silence by Cardinal Sarah. That was one of my ideas for using the computer time I usually spend playing Candy Crush, which I gave up for Lent. The only thing is, I discovered Solitaire and began wasting as much time on it until it occurred to me what kind of trick my mind had played on me. :roll_eyes: It’s a great book, but takes more intellectual involvement than playing stupid games. Sigh. So I suppose Sloth is something I need to pay attention to. And I will, when I get around to it.😏

Might as well throw in the sloth. Hair would compliment the cactus needles nicely and it would be too slow to get out before shedding some.
In other news I am tired of Lent and bad weather. Now it’s raining on the leftover snow.😡
 
Ahhh. Rain on snow. Hopefully, it will get cold so you have a nice hard layer on top of the snow reminent. Perfect Curmudgeon weather.
 
Exactly. That creates little dams so the rain and melting snow can’t run off properly. Last week it was a major winter storm warning. Now it’s possible flooding. We’ve always lived in this area so we built our house on a slight hill. And we have a sump pump in the basement. This area isn’t on a flood plain anyway. Next thing you know it will be tornado season. Maybe we should move to Australia with the terrifying bugs, sea creatures, and amphibians. So there. Done grumpifying. For now.👵🍺
 
I’ve been involved in a on-line controversy about some outrageous content in our government funded national broadcaster, the ABC. The ABC is required to be impartial so they toe the line with equal coverage of the political parties, but on social issues they are just a hotbed of smarmy, leftist radicals.

I thought you might like this comment I saw in the recent controversy:
