It is a fact that men have always had the power so what’s this about advocating for equality for men? What about equality for all? Why start such a provocative thread? I am not in the US but you appear to be saying that the courts in the most powerful nation in the world are biased and so rubbish. I would not think so.Walking Home wrote:

But there is a more serious and widespread violence of that of youth in stadiums and squares. I am not speaking here of violence against children, which they stained unfortunately also elements of the clergy, it is sufficient talk outside of here. I speak of violence against women. This is an opportunity to make persons and institutions that fight against it understand that Christ is their best ally.
It is a violence all the more serious because it is often carried to the shelter of domestic walls, unknown to all, when it is not actually justified with pseudo-religious and cultural prejudices. The victims find themselves desperately alone and defenseless. Only today, thanks to the support and encouragement of so many associations and institutions, some find the strength to come out and denounce the guilty.
Much of this violence is sexual. It is the male who thinks he can demonstrate his virility by inflicting himself on the woman, not realizing that he is only demonstrating his insecurity and baseness. Even against the woman who made a mistake, what a contrast between the actions of Christ and that still going on in some circles! Fanaticism calls for stoning; Christ, to those who have presented an adulteress, he replied: “Let him who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her” (John 8: 7). Adultery is a sin that is always committed by two, but for which one has always been (and, in some parts of the world, still is) punished.
Violence against women is never so odious as when it nestles where should reign mutual love and respect in the relationship between husband and wife. It is true that violence is not always and wholly on one side, that you can be violent also with the tongue and not only with his hands, but no one can deny that in the vast majority of cases the victim is the woman.
There are families (even in Italy) where the man still believes himself authorized to raise his voice and hands on the women of the house. His wife and children at times live under the constant threat of '“wrath of Dad.” Such people should say amiably: “Dear fellow men, creating you male, God did not intend to give you the right to be angry and to bang your fist on the table for every little thing. The word addressed to Eve after the fault:” He (the man ) shall rule over you "(Genesis 3:16), was a bitter forecast, not an authorization.
John Paul II inaugurated the practice of the request for forgiveness for collective wrongs. One of them, the most just and necessary, is the forgiveness that half of humanity must ask the other half, men to women. It must not be generic and abstract. Must lead, especially those who profess Christian, to concrete gestures of conversion, to words of apology and reconciliation within families and society.

Please be advised that no one ever said that violence does not occur against women.
Advocating for equality for men does not translate into exploitation or subjugation of women.** Nor** does it mean to deny females their rights.
Here is a sample of a discussion of the facts of domestic violence.
fathersforlife.org/Sodhi/debunkingDV.htm and here: menstuff.org/issues/byissue/domesticviolence.html and here: oregoncounseling.org/Handouts/DomesticViolenceMen.htm What ever the actual truth is, it simply can no longer be denied, the high volume of female battering of males. Nor the* corresponding lack of services* for Battered Men in comparison to women. Nor the prejudiced legal and reporting system. Simple really.
You, of course, can choose to believe what you …wish.
All over the world, for the most, it is women who stay with their children. I have known of 2 women who have given up their children. I know of many men who have done so. It does not mean that all men are rotten. It just means that men should be brought up to respect women, to learn about responsibilities. Many men are still brought up to think that all they have to do is earn an income. Their wives have to be grateful and do everything else.
There are women who are bad, nasty, violent. On a balance, who is more likely to abandon their children?
We can go on and on like this or we can stop starting threads like this.
