Daily Mass length

How long are the daily Masses you attend? What do you think of the length?
 
Most of the ones I’ve been to are around 35 minutes, only a few have been longer if they were Holy Days or significant feasts where there are 2 readings, Psalm + Gospel (instead of 1 reading, Psalm, and Gospel), Gloria and the Creed too.
 
Typical daily Mass around here is about 30 minutes, which is perfect for me.
If it were any longer, daily Mass would not be possible for me,
as I have a very crazy work schedule!
 
30 minutes to an hour. It depends on if the Redemptorists are concelebrating or not (we have four).
 
I go to two different parishes for daily Mass, depending on my schedule. My home parish has a 30 minute morning Mass. Another church, on my way to my office, has a very reverent 40-45 minute Mass. Although I end up getting to the office 20-30 minutes later than I would otherwise, it is worth it!

There is also a nearby church that has a 20 minute morning Mass, but I find it hard to concentrate and focus as it is done very quickly with a 30 second homily. I don’t attend there anymore because it almost defeats the purpose and if I’m a minute or two late, they’re done with the readings already.

In any case, I’ve been finding daily Mass to be such a blessing.

This. Our daily Masses are usually about 30 minutes, The 6:15am Mass is often shorter. Daily Mass that is an hour long is a luxuary that most cannot afford during the work day. Also, without music, creed, etc, that Mass is naturally shorter.

That 20 minute Mass may be all that others with a very tight schedule can manage. It is very likely a huge blessing to others for whom a 40 minute Mass would mean they are 20 minutes late to work and potentially out of work! The pastors are aware of what their parishes need and work to provide it. You are very blessed to have 3 options each morning!

Our afternoon Mass starts at 12:10, to allow people some time to get there. And it ends around 12:35. Which allows people to grab something for lunch, and to get back to work. I wonder how many people would come if they had to be late for work every time they attended.
 
I’m just thankful to have the opportunity to go to daily mass, regardless of how short or long it may be. There are a few parishes around me that don’t offer daily mass.

This.

There’s a lunchtime Mass two minutes from my school, but I can’t attend because it typically lasts as long as the time I’m allotted for lunch. Those of us who work on a fixed schedule can’t be five or ten minutes late back from lunch.

Yes. I used to attend a noon Mass that is usually 25-30 minutes long. Including travel time to and from (it was the closest Mass). I had to eat at my desk when I attended Mass. I was able to do that, others may not be.

I currently don’t attend daily Mass because of schedule conflicts. I’m hoping that I can begin again when my office moves to a different part of town next month! 🙂
 
Our daily masses are 30 minutes long. After mass we then pray the Liturgy of the Hours for those who stick around. 👍

Around 40 minutes, so I picked the last choice. I know that if I stay and pray the rosary afterward, my time in church is right around 1 hour.
 
Daily Mass at the parish I usually attend runs between 20-25 minutes depending on which priest is the celebrant. It’s the perfect length for me. I go over my lunch break and it gives me time to eat lunch before my hour lunch break is over.

I agree…I did not mean to say that the 20 minute Mass was “inferior” to the others. Admittedly, I perhaps thought that at one point, but discussing it with one of the parishioners, I learned that perhaps the quick Mass developed as our community has a few farmers, and the quick Mass allows them to get back to work quickly. Similarly, they have a very early (6 AM) Sunday Mass for a similar reason.

I also feel fortunate to be able to attend Mass most days, and for myself, the days I miss was usually because of a mishandling of my schedule/time.

Nearly all the weekday Masses I atend are less than 25 minutes. That’s without a homily or General Intercessions. The shortest weekday Mass i’ve ever attended was 15 minutes. One of my previous pastors managed to get every weekday Mass at exactly 20 minutes, if I didn’t know better I’d swear he had a stoop-watch and timed it! 😃
 
Daily Masses at my parish are usually around 25 minutes. Well, actually everything takes around 40 minutes if you count morning prayer. (My parish combines morning prayer with Mass on weekdays… which means you never really know exactly what time Mass itself will start.)
 
The daily Masses I’m able to attend end up being around an hour or a little longer - High Mass with a shortened sermon.
