Something else that I just remembered regarding daily mass. When we go just on the weekend the priest needs to prepare a homily that speaks to a wide range of people so to speak. During the daily mass the homiles, at least it seems to me, are tailored more on “family lines”. They’re more in depth. It’s the difference between having a block party type setting as opposed to an intimate family celebration.
 
I began going to daily Mass around Lent last year. It truly has done wonders to my spiritual life and my relationship with Jesus. If there is a day I am unable to make it to Mass, I am definitely disappointed. I am thankful to work near a shrine that offers six Masses daily so I really have no issue making it work with my schedule.

Receiving the Eucharist each day is wonderful. It’s put me more in touch with the Scriptures via the daily readings. It’s also put me more in touch with the Catholic community. I love seeing business men and women going to Mass during their lunch hour. One day I came back to work after Mass (during my lunch hour) and my co-worker asked if I went out to lunch. I told her no, that I went to Mass. She asked, “why, is it a holy day of obligation?” I simply responded, “nope.”

Hi there, i am 27 years old and I just started attending daily mass and saying the rosary with whomever that shows up 1/2 hour before mass. I love it! I know exactly how you feel. If I don’t pray the rosary or go to mass, I feel like there’s something missing. I used to just go to mass every Sunday, but then I decided after buying my first holy rosary to attend daily mass and say the rosary. Just thought I’d say hi and let you know that i know how you are feeling!

How wonderful you’ve found how much you can gain by going to daily mass at such a young age. My youngest child is your age and none of them would consider going every day, some don’t go once a week.
Mostly it’s people my age or older I meet at mass in the mornings but it’s so nice to sometimes see younger people. And when I see mothers with young chldren, some in strollers, it’s very exciting.

I go to daily Mass and don’t consider myself a fanatic…unless wanting to be with our Lord in the Eucharist daily is fanaticism. If so, then call me a fanatic.:aok:

In all seriousness…it is a wonderful way for me to start my day, by giving thanks to the Lord who make it possible for me to enjoy the things in my life.

When I am not able to go, because of car problems or illness, I feel there is a void in my day.
 
If ONLY I could go every day. I would LOVE it. :o But my caregiving responsibilities and my mothers needs, do not permit it.

However, (aside from Sunday Mass) we do go to daily Mass every Wednesday and Friday. There are people who attend that daily Mass… daily!

I heard Fr. Anthony on EWTN say that daily Mass “goers” are like the prophetess Anna… “She never left the temple, but worshipped night and day with fasting and prayer.” (Luke 3:37)

I would encourage you to attend, daily. Especially if you feel called to attend. Don’t mind what anyone says… “fanatic” or whatever. We will be spending all of eternity with God. So… why not show Him our love, now on earth?

Never too early to start living “Heaven”! God bless.

It’s so funny you should mention this…I was just thinking today as I was praying after Daily Mass, how blissful it would be just to remain in God’s house. I was thinking about Anna and Simeon and how they lived in the Temple. I love the peace and silence of the Basilica…it is truly the heart of campus.

I wish I could go every day but my class schedule doesn’t permit me to. 😦
 
I am very, very lucky to go to a Catholic university where Mass is celebrated 10 times a day (on weekdays, 13 times on Sunday)! The best part is there are five chapels/Churches on campus and one happens to be about 30 seconds away from my room! 😃

That being said, I do not go every day though I know I should go more! I try to go to at least one daily Mass a week.
 
My rural parish has no daily mass, only Sundays, so I have to drive into town to go. I am trying this year to make the effort to go if I am in town during the day.

If my parish had daily mass, I would be there most days.
 
I try to go at least once in addition to Sundays, but sometimes school work is too great and Tuesdays must be spent inside 😦
 
I often go. Most often in the evening.
I have posted here before about this. I started feeling guilty if I felt too tired one day or wasn’t feeling well or had a lot to do. Since I tend to be overly scrupulous, I have to make sure I go out of love, not compulsion. HAVE TO we only do on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation.
But daily mass can offer so much!!!
 
I serve the daily masses at my parish. There are about 70 people at the 6:30AM Mass, and about 10 people at the 8:00 Mass. I like the 8:00AM mass, because there are the same people, every single day. Before mass, after I prepare the church and sanctuary, I often go down to the pews and talk, gossip, greet the small congregation before mass. I feel that I can connect more in the silence, although our parish’s choir is quite nice! Another plus, whenever my Pastor celebrates mass, we are out the door within sometimes 10 minutes. It doesn’t clog up your schedule, but still, it gives you something to look forward to everyday. Almost like a fresh start in the morning. It’s nice because you willingly receive the holy body of Jesus Christ everyday. 🙂
 
I go to Mass whenever I can, usually 2-3 times per week. Even my own parents think I’m crazy 😛 and they are devout Christians. My DH is so good about this; he often accompanies me even when he is tired or has work to do.
It really makes a total difference in my life. I feel drawn into the Presence of God through the Eucharist.
 
When I was young I would accompany my late Grandfather to daily Mass. I thought to myself he was absolutely crazy, Now after surviving a nearly catostrophic stroke five years ago I added daily Mass as an outgrowth to my two Rosaries a day and I can’t beleive why more don’t do it . It’s absolutely facinating to me to have a Daily intimate personal audiance with our Lord & Savior and talk to Him about anything on Earth. I can’t get enough. I pray I never loose this zeal for our creator!!! 👍
