Great! NovosOrdo Watch will now have something else to smirk about regarding the post-concilliar Church.

Honestly… :nope: 😃

To make the link shorter:
  1. Write what you want it to become eg. “Catholic Answers”
  2. Highlight it
  3. Click on the *Insert Link *button (the globe with the link), below the smiley button
  4. Put the web address in eg. catholic.com
  5. Click OK
See?: Catholic Answers, BBC, The Vatican, and so on and so forth. Easy as that.
Michael 🙂

and this made news, anywhere…why?

Of course she’d be reprimanded…in a mild way…she’s a nun, for goodness sake, in public. Yeah, she got carried away, so it’s quite alright in the grand scheme of things, but the Mother Superior would have been remiss of her duties if she didn’t at least point out to the Sister that her actions were inappropriate.

I suppose it would have been different if she were dancing with delight with a fellow sister as opposed to a male missionary???

My question is, how did this reprimand get reported to the media?

Maybe it was exceptionally bad dancing 😃

Or maybe an exceptionally newsless day.

It was plastered all over AOL news - not only in the “News” section but on the welcome screen. (This is what they consider breaking news?) For a wild moment, before actually clicking on the headline, I thought it might be about a crackdown on some funky liturgical dance. Imagine my disappointment.

At any rate, while I prefer nuns in habits and behaving with a keen sense of decorum, I think her biggest mistake was to dance what looks to be the jitterbug — with a man — in public — in that outfit. :bigyikes:

When celebreties’ spouses are found with someone else, it makes news. Jesus is sure widely known (or at least known of)- It only makes sense that a spouse of Jesus being found with someone else should make news. We should pray that our religious will always be faithful to their vows.

If they only wore the full leng habits of old, they would never be able to bust out jigs such as this. Good enough reason for them to bring them back as far as I’m concerned.

Only kidding…😉

But I would like to see nuns/sisters back in them for other reasons though.

I agree. The most shocking part to me wasn’t the story itself, but that unflattering photo. I figured dancing in the streets by people who were supposedly faithful is nothing new. Good Thing we didn’t have news cameras back when King David was around. 😛

Thats alright, happy to help, Teri LOL

Thank you, Michael! :tiphat:
I agree with other posters where the article isn’t that shocking but that the photo makes the nun look nuts :whacky:

Michael 😃

Really. At first I couldn’t figure out which was the nun. It looked to me like some guy was about to toss an old ragged store mannequin out into the trash.

Maybe it’s a cultural thing, and maybe it’s in perfect form for the jitterbug. I don’t claim to know anything about dance, but this untrained observer was baffled there for a while to figure out whether she was even human.

I agree Alan, she looks just like a mannequin - look how STRAIGHT she is … but the mouth sort of let the whole idea down :rotfl:

Michael 😃

P.S. I don’t think in any culture it is acceptable for anyone, let alone a nun, to attempt this rather unorthodox leapfrog :rotfl:

Hey thanks, that does help make my case, and I do see what you mean about the mouth. That’s pretty troubling, and I can’t think of a good earthly comparison for it – one of those things that “speaks for itself” apparently.

Anyway I had only seen the small photo so the detail wasn’t so clear.

Now that I’ve seen the detail, speaking of “mouth,” where is the good missionary’s?

But she sure was equipped in her hightop black sneakers! (whatever happended to those “sensible” black shoes that the nuns I knew always wore as standard issue religious?).

Oh dear, I wish I hadn’t even seen THIS question! Being the curious sort, I had to go back and look at the pic. :bigyikes:

Now I need to wash my brain out with soap. :banghead:
