I am thankful that all these yoga threads at least brought me to an article that “Danish Gymnastics” might be the real origin of what we know as yoga. That was pretty cool. I don’t believe it. But that was an interesting twist. I guess you could call it a yoga twist.🤣
 
BTW; I confess that I am such a fringe Catholic that I read Sri Aurobindo. He is very incarnational. I read him in the light of Christianity and Christianity with a bit of his world view. I dont expect anyone here to appreciate that but I though I would throw it out there for those who like to life “dangerously”.
 
The Exorcist of Rome ? If you mean Fr Amorth, there are problems with his credibility.

Seen it before. Yoga and Hindu spirituality are not compatible for Christians who do Yoga.

The author is speaking of her experience before reverting back to Catholicism and it was her own problem, not that of Yoga nor Hinduism itself.

That being said, Christians who do Yoga, do not delve into Hindu spirituality, but keep their spiritual focus on Jesus Christ.

This is like saying using a kettlebell could turn you into a communist because it was invented by and for the Russian Army. I love kettlebells and I’m totally fine, comrade.
 
He rebuts all the arguments in favor of yoga beginning around the 12 minute mark.
 
I think when discussing statements by “exorcists” we need to use common sense. I can see demons coming through a Ouija board or crystal ball. But anyone who’s going to feel demonic attack based on a stretching class has got problems going beyond the fact that their stretching class is named “yoga” as opposed to “stretching”.

It’s like anything else. If you feel it leads you away from God, don’t do it. But also accept the fact that not everybody is affected the same way by it.

I know two “family” members in different parts of the country both of whom are atheist.

Well, I figured you would fit in well with my acknowledgement of Bear’s great discovery. If you don’t want it, I’ll pay $10, 000 for it myself and sell it to a major network for 10 x that. So it’s your loss. 🙂

There was this one oujai board thing on youtube that seemed real (almost), the girls were very good actresses. (pretty sure) I’m sure it’s still up.

Well, all Furbys scare me a little bit. Some more than others. I turn them around, so they can’t look at me when I go to bed.
