Well, I will take the OP’s lead here, early on, if anyone is being looked at suspiciously… so, I knew the police found something in London of an explosive nature, I did not know it was ammonium nitrate though, that makes perfect sense.

The Beirut explosion took place at a warehouse that held 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate that had been confiscated from a ship.

Who bombed the Marine Beirut barracks in 1983? More people actually died in that than the count so far. I want to frame all of my words in the most respectful way as possible per this horrible event. 220 Marines and some others died. Maybe some French troops too and others.

What happened on August 6th, 1945, Hiroshima… okay, that’s not directly related but it makes me think some.

Then, in Afghanistan, there was the “MOAB”, Mother of all bombs, do people remember that? This article says this explosion yesterday was more powerful, it’s a wonder more people were not killed but the count will likely grow.
