We have a rosary group which would meet weekly. For the past month we have had a new member who has some theatrical training join us.
Bertha (not her real name) has a very strong voice. Her voice overwhelms the rest of us. She says her prayers “reverently”, Our Father - pause for 2 beats - Hallowed (with the stress on the low). We would announce our intentions for our rosary, clip through the rosary in 15 minutes and then do concluding prayers. We would then have some fellowship.
Since Bertha has joined us, the “whenever 2 or more are gathered in My name, I will be there I am” spirit we had, has been destroyed and attendance is dropping. Our rosary now takes 45 minutes as she sets the pace and it is annoying for the rest of us.
I don’t know what to do. The rosary group meets in our home. I tried to gently sound her out on this issue, and she told me that I don’t say the rosary correctly. She said it should be “In the Name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”. I asked her what I say. According to her I say “Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.”
