In S.F., Dean calls GOP 'a white Christian party’

**Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean, unapologetic in the face of recent criticism that he has been too tough on his political opposition, said in San Francisco this week that Republicans are “a pretty monolithic party. They all behave the same. They all look the same. It’s pretty much a white Christian party.”

**“The Republicans are not very friendly to different kinds of people,” Dean said Monday, responding to a question about diversity during a forum with minority leaders and journalists. "We’re more welcoming to different folks, because that’s the type of people we are. But that’s not enough. We do have to deliver on things: jobs and housing and business opportunities."

Howard Dean is an anger ball, who yelled and screamed his way out of the Democratic Primary race. Now that he is the leader of the Dem party, perhaps his anger and hatred will lose the '08 election for the Dems as well.

How ironic for him to be spreading hatred and vitriol and yet labeling Republicans as not being nice people. Wake up and smell the hypocrisy Howard! What a fool.

Despite the fact that it’s hardly true, the real problem is that he makes “white Christian” sound like an insult.

Let him rant. The more he goes on, the less any legitimate party or politician want anything to do with him. Not only that he makes himself fodder for the talk show hosts. He and Gore are twins.

Okay, is Dean the pot or the kettle?

Or maybe just :whacky:

Howard Dean becoming DNC Chairman is the best thing that has ever happened…

For the Republican Party…😃

Howard Dean is the perfect leader for the Dems. I hope he continues to lead them for many years.

Don’t look now but the Democrats have become the White Atheist Plantation owner party. Dean is the best gift the Republicans ever received.

I couldn’t believe it when Howard Dean was elected DNC chair…they might as well have elected Howard the Duck…he would probably get more votes!:rotfl:

Shhhh, be wewy, wewy, quiet. Let’s let Dean do his thing and not get in his way. The worst thing republicans did last year was say “Puleeease nominate Dean! Puleeeeease do it!!” Our glee was so apparent, the democrats realized they were at the cliff and backed away for the “safe” candidate in Kerry.

Yeeeeeeeearrrrrrhhhhh!

I love the “I have a scream” speech. That will define his politicial career.

I Guess that Dean forgot the fact that 40% of the Hispanic vote was for GWB…

The irony is that he is describing himself. He’s certainly white and claims to be Christian. Does that make him a Republican?

More welcoming? Sure, as long as you’re not a pro-life Democrat trying to get nominated for anything higher than local office. On a statewide or national level, if you don’t have your “pro-choice” credentials in order, you stand little or no chance of making it through the primaries.

Shame on the Democrats. As recently as, say, about forty years ago, a Democrat candidate could never get elected if he or she went on record as being pro-abortion. Today, a Democrat couldn’t even get nominated by his own party UNLESS he was pro-abortion.

Talk about monolithic!

Yeah, I guess he spoke without thinking…again. :whacky:

Howard Dean embodies the true nature and character of the modern democrat party. God sure does work in mysterious ways.
