Dear Heaven, I am not a fan of this weather

No, it retains heat pretty well, I just have a hard time closing some of the windows. As in, they’re kind of stuck. But on the positive side, since I can’t close them, it means they can’t stay stuck shut, which is really useful for when it gets kind of Stuffy.
 
I have mine in between 68 degrees Fahrenheit and 70 degrees Fahrenheit. I had it turned off for a large part of the afternoon. It got down to 66 degrees Fahrenheit before I turned it back on. Which, is much warmer than it was outside. The high today, I think was something like 42 degrees Fahrenheit.
 
I’d be doing that,if I could.I hope the bad weather passes soon and doesn’t quite get to the temperatures they are predicting,that you all stay safe on the roads too.
 
Snow does provide some insulation, but if the home has a properly ventilated roof or attic, the roof still gets pretty cold. (The ventilation, by chilling the roof, helps to minimize the formation of ice up there.)
 
Between 66 F and 68 F (about 18-20 C) I have electric heating with a fire place as backup or when it drops below zero F.

Haha keeping the house that warm here would cost SO MUCH money.

64 during the day
60 at night.

Sometimes we put the secondary heat on and get it to 66.
 
Al gore insists there is global warming and the polar bears are all dying because it is so warm. So either some of the posters herein are as goofy as a sick goose, or…
 
Enjoy the cold…we are melting here with nearly 100 F 😓 and not even a breeze during the day.
 
!00F ! I’d be heading to the old swimming hole to cool off.

Was it just me or did anyone else in the frozen north run to weather channel and try to find the blissful place that is so warm.

Not in the US, I gather. Maybe Aus?
 
I would like to have -40F for about three months in Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. It would kill off many invasive insects, kill invasive plants, thin animal populations, and reduce plant pathogens.
 
Argentina…but stay there for a while…I 'll let you know when temperature drops a bit…
Or if not ,be ready to come straight into the pool and do " pool-office" . 🍨:swimming_woman:

That’s basically what’s happening! Everyone who didn’t care for themselves and layer up is getting sick 😷
