You are creating a false dichotomy here. It is not, either we are all sinners and therefore no one is right, or I am holier than you and therefore one of us is right.
Truth is exclusive and has nothing to do with whether or not you are a sinner or not.
We are right because what we believe is true. Others are wrong because what they believe is false. How is this a continuation of the decline of the Church?
In my opinion the Church has declined because those in Her do not stand for anything and accept everything. She is in decline because those in Her have failed to offer the world an alternative to the relativistic quagmire that is our modern culture.
The Church grew 30% a decade during its first 300 years in existance, and this during a time of horrible persecution. Why?
It was because of the willingness to die of those who believed in the Truth. They were a testimony to all around them. They stood for something besides themselves, besides what the culture offered. They called people to the faith because they stood for the Truth.
