**I was just watching REFLECTIONS WITH FATHER LEO CLIFFORD on EWTN
and after the segment ended they announced that he died this morning.

I loved him SO much!
He was very instrumental in my conversion.

That voice, that always spoke such beautiful words of encouragement,
will ring in my ears and live in my heart forever!**
**
I love you Father Leo!**
May the Lord welcome you into the light of His Face
and wrap you in His loving embrace,
and may you rest in ETERNAL PEACE
oh good, and faithful servant of Our Lord.
:highprayer:

:bighanky: Awwwww. He was such a nice Priest. May he rest in Peace 😦

I am so very sad to hear this. I, too, loved him very much and was always inspired by his “ferverinos” on EWTN.

God reward you for posting this. I will pray for the repose of his soul - should he have need of such prayers. If not, Our Lord can use them for someone else.

I thank God for Fr. Leo!
He always gave me such food for thought!
Rest in Eternal Peace, Father!

Barb

I am most certainly praying for the repose of his soul! I loved to watch him, I looked forward to it!

EWTN announced this news of Father’s death last Friday after his reflections, so he did not pass this morning, but last week some time. May he rest in God’s peace and the eternal joy of His presence.

Sirach, thank you. Do you know the exact date he died so that I may record it in my book properly?

I tried to find some information on the internet, but absolutely nothing came up that he even died.

The link below has the proper information. I apologize for the confusion. He did NOT die this morning, he was laid to rest today.

Angie, thanks! I had no idea he was from Holy Name Province.

Eternal rest grant unto Father Clifford! May his soul rest in peace!

THANK YOU SIRACH for correcting my mistake! :o:blush:

Angie and Sirach, an Ave each for both of you for the information you so kindly provided!

I love Father Leo Clifford. I would make sure to be home to watch “Reflections” for years - as often as work permitted. I stopped several months ago because of that digital thing they did with the television which does not allow me to just plug the tv and watch it. I even bought a gadget that was suppose to allow me to see the channels but, it did not work. I mostly wanted to see Father Clifford. For months, I would only turn the tv on to watch Father Clifford. I really, really liked him. He was my favorite EWTN priest. I remember once he said he had the Irish Gift of Gab. 🙂 He sure did. I like the way he spoke so clearly and about our faith.

"One of his lines to penitents was something like, ‘You’re only sin is forgetting how madly in love Jesus is with you.’

May that same Jesus welcome you to the heavenly liturgy, Father, where you may celebrate his love for eternity. Amen."

Requiescat in pace.
