Up until this afternooon I would have voted for Herman Cain. Best choice of those left is Michelle Bachmann – although I would rather see her replace John Boehner as Speaker of the House ASAP.

Without going negative on any candidate. Why did you pick the candidate you did? What are their positive points that you think are important?
Good question. I picked Romney because I think he is the most conservative candidate with the best chance of winning. He is presidential, has business/administrative experience, can speak with more authority on turning the economy around than Obama. He has performed well in every debate. He comes across as reasonable and would probably be able to get more independents than any other canididate.

This has to do with 2012, but not the GOP primary.

Ralph Nader’s status was updated about an hour ago to read: '12 Let’s Go!

I believe this means he’s in.

Just to remind everyone the Presidential Forum with Mike Huckabee is on tonight on Fox news, 2 hour debate. All the candidates except Jon Huntsman are there, and I think they are being given equal time to speak.

Thank you!!! I will be watching.

Wait. I thought Paul would never poll over 9%.
Nationally, he tends to poll in the single digits.

No matter the polling. IA is a caucus state, and he does better in caucuses because his base is very motivated, and that is what it takes to get people to hang around all day and vote in the caucuses. So he has a shot at #1 or #2 in IA (especially if it snows.)

Nationally, Paul is currently at 8% If he does very well in IA he could see his numbers nationally reach the low teens. I don’t think he will get much higher than that. As I said at the beginning of the season, he is unelectable in as a Republican nominee.

Santorum! He knows when life begins (btw, I think newt may have just made a mistake…he’s a new Catholic and maybe he hasn’t studied biology in awhile). I am also still not convinced that Romney can be trusted.

I just heard that Newt said life begins at implantation. I was very surprised.

I still like Santorum, and Bachmann.
I like Santorum. He has a great message, but he is an ineffective messenger because he quite simply has failed to gain traction.

As for Bachmann, I don’t think she is presidential timber.

Newt Gingrich stood out for me in the Mike Huckabee Presidential Forum.

Rick Santorum is the best overall candidate, and my preference, but I think Ron Paul would be a good choice as well, if he truly gets rid of what he says needs to be gone. I would never vote for Mitt Romney or Jon Huntsman period, and Herman Cain is no longer in the race.

By the way for all of you, Mitt Romney is PRO-ABORTION. In his ‘Romney-care’, you can get $50 co-pay abortions, which is what Obama-care was based off of.

Also, Rick Santorum is the only Catholic candidate.
