Please no medical advice. Just prayers and encouragement.

So many here know I got a total hysterectomy (uterus, cervix, ovaries–all removed) almost six weeks ago. I have been doing so well it’s amazing! God is good! 😃

Even still, I’m more than a little nervous. I’ve started some natural estrogen/progesterone cream to ease menopause symptoms. I’ve been on it for two weeks. It’s not really helping much, but doctor said it takes time. Okay fine all is well, it will be adjusted if needed. The past 4 days I’ve been having intense cramps and pain in my (I guess) pelvic muscle or bladder (I mean what the heck is left right?) Only it distinctly feels like “woman pain” like PMS. I’m freaking out that my Endometriosis isn’t really all gone and the estrogen in the cream is causing it to flair up. Or he missed some that could not be seen (which isn’t unheard of.) So I’m probably just going to ask to get off of the cream and just deal with menopause. Not fun, but that’s life sometimes.

But just the thought that Endometriosis might still be in me is just overwhelming. I gave up everything I could and still be a functional human being. I can’t give up my bladder or heaven only knows what else too. It’s just mind boggling this disease is. And some have it much worse than me!

Okay. Thanks for listening. 😊 Please pray this disease isn’t returning already. Might be back for more prayers and consoling words soon if getting off the cream isn’t enough to stop the pain. Pray for me and all who have this horrible disease! Many thanks! :hug1:

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Be at peace. Asking Our Lady to be with you and to plead with her Divine Son for your well-being. You know we love you and pray for you dear one!

It’s really encouraging to see that you can find good in such a hard situation. It is terribly hard to be in pain and when it’s a female thing no one wants to know. When something has caused pain for a long time (average time for diagnosis of endometriosis is 10 years) then it would be really scary to think it might come back. I’m just heading up the same street with endometriosis but I have a natural early menopause (I’m 35) which may help. Do see your doctor and try anything and everything to help.

We are all here for you and stand with you before God. May He be gentle with you and enable you to live sufficiently pain free that you can live fully. May He give you His comfort and support and bless you in spirit, soul and body. Amen.

Praying for healing and peace…
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee;
blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

My mother and sister had endometriosis, so I understand how it affects people. May Our Lady cradle you in her motherly arms and obtain the grace of healing for you.

Sister Marianne cope said “I’m not afraid of any disease…” Be not afraid.
may you be filled with loving kindness. may you be well. may you be peaceful and at ease. may you be happy.

Please be assured of my prayers that this pain will subside. Our Lord knows your suffering, so He is walking with you.

Thanks all! :grouphug:

Its definitely less intense pain than it was before the big surgery. It’s just enough though and similar enough to cause alarm–its super scary to think it’s still in there. (It’s not cancer, thankfully, but it sure is just as pesky to treat.) If there is even a teeny tiny spot of Endometriosis they missed (which isn’t hard to do) it will spread in time and start hurting and causing me so much pain I’d need another surgery. (It would be my 4th surgery for Endo removal.) Then the cycle just endlessly repeats itself. Eek! :o

Thanks for listening and praying. It means a lot to me! You help me keep trudging along and fighting the good fight. Whatever is there is there and God will help me through it. At least I don’t have to work right now while I’m battling this disease. God has SO blessed me there. I can help the hubs take care of the house and dogs and just work on healing. My mind seems to be healing quite nicely now. So that’s a huge plus! 🙂

Whether it’s a stray they missed or maybe a small kidney stone, let’s hope it’s something they can just laser-zap. The fact that you’ve reported it so early may help. Feel better soon!

I am so sorry you are going through this. You are in my prayers.

I would have been extremely surprised if you weren’t experiencing these sorts of difficulties at this early stage of healing from major surgery. Your body will continue to heal and your hormones need time to settle and for you and your doctors to work through it together. Hang in there and try not to focus on the most alarming possible complications.

Thanks everyone! I got back from my 6week follow up and the doctor said all looks well. 🙂

He said it isn’t unheard of to still be having symptoms this far out. A combination of patience and blood work and hormones should help me feel better over the next six months. I’m still healing from a major surgery. Sigh…wish it wasn’t so long, but I’m going through menopause at 33, it’s not supposed to be easy. 😉
