Joe Biden told a questioner during a campaign event, “I guarantee you we’re going to end fossil fuels,” in New Castle, N.H. on 9/6/19
RACISM and CLIMATE CHANGE,
the two pillars of the DNC platform for 2020.

Another example of Biden overplaying the race card for years now coming back to haunt him.

This is part of why I have been saying this phony racist rhetoric (I am not denying REAL racism by the way) is self-destructive. Because if it is OK to play a phony race card, someone else will play a fake race card against YOU too.

Joe has been encouraging this type of racism-false-accusation behavior for years by his own examples aimed against others.

Charlamagne Tha God Rips Joe Biden for Avoiding Show: ‘White Entitlement and Privilege’

JOSHUA CAPLAN

6 Sep 201913

Appearing Friday on CNN, The Breakfast Club co-host Charlamagne Tha God called out former vice president Joe Biden for offering to send a campaign surrogate instead of sitting down for an interview with the radio host, saying the move by the 2020 frontrunner demonstrates “white entitlement and privilege.” . . .

. . . BROOKE BALDWIN: What’s your number one question for him?

CHARLAMAGNE THA GOD: I got questions about the ‘94 crime bill. I got questions about, you know, the ‘88 crack laws. I got questions about giving the eulogy at Strom Thurmond’s funeral and saying Strom Thurmond was a great man. I want to know why you thought these segregationists were great.

With the leftists now eating their own here,
with the leftists now turning on Biden,
it is just a matter of time before Joe finds some pretext to drop out of the race.

But not until his fundraising dwindles.

The pretext may be health.
It may be “I want to spend more time with my family”.
It may be, “I think I can do more as a non-candidate.”

Who knows?

But after his fundraising falls off, he will be out.

“It’s one thing to have a well-earned rep for goofy, harmless gaffes. It’s another if you serially distort your own record. @JoeBiden is in danger of creating a more damaging meme.” – David Axelrod
Again. The left is turning on Joe.

Even Obama’s strategist Axelrod is getting in on it.
The left likes to talk about (pretend) dog whistles (although they wouldn’t put it that way).

Well this is a real “dog-whistle” that it is OK for fellow-leftists to start trashing Joe and you will not be ostracized.

Now admitedly it COULD be mere infighting for the nomination (and I think that is part of it), but I would have been more inclined to believe that a month ago as a sole reason for this type of criticism.

I think this is some pushing to get Joe out of the race by the LEFT.

And I think it also means . . . .
. . . It is now OK to publicly trash Joe (again from the left).

Former Vice President Joe Biden is being hammered by mainstream media outlets and even former President Obama’s chief strategist David Axelrod after falsely claiming he opposed the Iraq War as a senator.

Axelrod tweeted Thursday evening: “It’s one thing to have a well-earned rep for goofy, harmless gaffes. It’s another if you serially distort your own record. @JoeBiden is in danger of creating a more damaging meme.”

Joe Biden Struggles to Explain Plan for Tackling China on Climate Change

Former Vice President Joe Biden struggled to explain his plan to persuade China to lower its carbon footprint on Wednesday.

Biden, who has fluctuated between downplaying China as an economic threat to warning they may soon outpace the U.S. in energy and infrastructure, was asked during CNN’s climate change town hall how he would pressure the communist power to address its carbon output—which is currently the largest in the world. . . .

. . . “We have to up the ante of what’s going on.”

The former vice president added that China, like any other nation, that is unwilling to abide by global climate change standards would have to pay a “price.”

“I would talk about dealing with how the deal with them in terms of tariffs relating to their products that are being sold if in fact they are involved in continuing to export—export—this climate change,” Biden said . . .

. . . Biden’s argument in favor of increasing tariffs is surprising, especially since he’s criticized President Donald Trump in recent months for relying on the same strategy to curb China’s unfair trade practices. . . .

Biden supported the Paris Accords which of course gave China and India a pass. At least until 2030.

If I recall correctly China has a larger “carbon footprint” than Europe and the US combined.

Interesting strategy by the Accords giving China a pass considering New York City could be underwater any day now due to global warming and Paris will be “The Sahara” by 2040.

Interestingly, the tariffs will slow down China’s growth and actually work to contain their CO2 emissions explosion.

Change Research poll released Tuesday shows Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) with a double-digit lead over longtime frontrunner Joe Biden (D), besting him by a full ten points.
This is an interesting development. If it is to be senator Warren. do you think she will be able to appeal to the black and Hispanic sections of the Democratic support base?

Who should she choose as her running mate to best broaden her appeal?

What are her best strengths and possible weaknesses?

Good questions.

I don’t have much of an opinion yet.

I’ll think about it and maybe post something in a couple of weeks or so.

The only thing I came up with is if Liz wins the primary, she won’t have Kamala as her running mate.

Liz and Joe do not get along, so it will be very tough for Joe to campaign for her too.

And even if he would, she may not want him for multiple reasons including the fact that Joe says the darndest things.

Bernie probably will take Kamala.

This is over the top, but I never count out the leftists trying to parachute in Hillary at the last minute. Then I think about the “crabology” aspect (willingness to tear each other down) and think. . . No. Not even the democrats would do that.

Swalwell’s “campaign” seemed like a glorified fundraiser for his war chest.

Jay Inslee was probably auditioning for VP with his campaign (when it was going).

St. Pete and Robert 'O might be promised appointments if they campaign hard enough.
Maybe O’Rourke can direct the primary winners band.

Will Beto O’Rourke’s Hand Gestures Be a Distraction?

With his annoying hand gesticulations (gesticulations usually don’t bother me but Beto’s seem phony and excessive and with him being so pro-abortion it will just magnify his irritating traits to me) he over depends on maybe they won’t want him campaigning.

But who knows?

What do you think?

How about our more leftist friends here?

What do you guys think?

I don’t know what will happen but am watching with interest.

I didn’t think about Hillary Clinton but now that you mention it I can imagine the Clintons being very open to any such move. I think though that there are three reasons why Warren will refuse any offer.
  1. The president needs to be top dog and the Clintons cannot play second fiddle supporting someone else. They will see the presidency as theirs and cause problems.
  2. I think the Clintons are totally corrupt and believe themselves above the law. With the injustice of the ‘investigation’ into her emails and Clinton foundation she will only be more reckless in a coming administration.
  3. Lastly and perhaps more importantly, with Hillary only being 1 heartbeat away from the presidency, Miss Warren may well think there is an increased chance of an untimely and premature journey to that great wigwam in the sky.

I agree with all that you said.

Regarding what I said about “parachuting” in Hillary at the last minute,
I meant not for VICE president
but for PRESIDENT.

Biden is not going to be the nominee.

Warren will fizzle. Her hollering will not resonate with middle America. Frankly I can’t see how she resonates with coastal America (at least in Massachucetts).

After Liz fizzles, they will have to put up SOMEBODY.

Bernie??

Perhaps.

Someone else? Maybe but I can’t see anyone from the current pro-abort leftist crop rising to the top.

So by elimination, I am concerned about them re-entering Hillary.

But Trump as an incumbent, should easily prevail.
Hillary isn’t a very good option either (many of the dems admitted that last time, how much more now after Hillary is a loser).

So that is how I look at it right now. The process of elimination.

Because nobody among the dems is rising to the top.

If Warren is serious about winning, I look for a dog-fight between her and Bernie.

But I think Warren would be happy to be Bernie’s running mate.

TWO North East liberals on the same ticket?

Probably even they will not be blind to THAT disaster.

So . . . I am admittedly left wondering.

We both think little of the Democratic front runners but of course the Dem faithful will have different views. I think it will all come down to independents and swinging voters and whether a Democrat can appeal to them over President Trump.

Of course for me Trump is by far the superior choice but I am ignorant as to what middle America is thinking. Also, Trump will have to get out his vote again. I am thinking Trump will win easily but would not be overly surprised if it goes the other way.

What the Democrats need is someone who truly unites that party and inspires trust and hope for the future in a charismatic way. I don’t see anyone on that side who will fill that role, but maybe someone will emerge.

Also I used to vote Left in my country and slowly I realized they were not representing me but were opposed in many aspects. Firstly I voted against them in the hope of sending a message because they were more and more embracing a secular Progressive religion. Many voters did the same thing but they never changed tack and so now my first action is to vote against them on principle and they have lost me completely.

I wonder how many people in America have followed a similar path over the last 4 years and are now Republicans or moved into the centre as independents?

It will be interesting to see the results of the 2020 election and observe how people have moved (or not).

Someone who could really kick Trump’s rear end: Michelle Obama. I’m not saying in any way that she will get drafted, only saying if she ever jumped in, she would be a formidable candidate. It’s very likely everyone else would step aside for her. Except maybe Bernie.

It’s probably a good thing for Trump that Michelle O likes the easy low stress post-White House life that she has.

She does have a niceness to her public image mixed with the right degree of seriousness and concern and of course she has the Obama legacy.

I think the question would be whether she had the depth of understanding of how government works. Trump though could also be accused of lacking that when he entered politics and now I think he has settled down surprisingly well.

I also agree there is little reason for her to throw her hat in the ring. On balance you would expect the incumbent to win and perhaps also Barrack would not like his final foray into politics to have his wife, and by extension himself, lose to Donald Trump.

If the Obama’s did want to enter politics perhaps their better chance would be in 2024 (assuming a Trump victory in 2020).

If the Democrats crash in 2020 and there is no clear Democrat to rally around in 2024 she could be seen as a lightening rod to take back power.

Joe Biden Promises Environmentalist: ‘Look into My Eyes; I Guarantee You, We Are Going to End Fossil Fuel’

. . . . “How can we trust that you’re going to act on climate — on the climate crisis — if you’re still attending fundraisers that fossil fuel executives are attending?” Beaulieu asked, according to the Daily Mail .

Video shows Biden walking over to the woman, taking her hand, and making a solemn promise to “end fossil fuel … before 2050, God willing.”

“Kiddo, I want you to just take a look. I want you to look into my eyes,” Biden began.

“I guarantee you, I guarantee you, we are going to end fossil fuel, and I am not going to cooperate with them. Before 2050, God willing,” Biden continued, adding that 2030 is not a realistic goal . . .

Marianne Williamson letting fly at the New Hampshire Democratic Party Convention. No one can say she is a stale suit. 🙂

On the positive side there is a lot of passion there and a great delivery style.

Sounds like people are figuring Kamala out (“poor poll numbers”) and also sounds (to me anyway) like she is running low on money (“limited number of presidential campaign stops in the first-in-the-nation primary state.”).

Kamala Harris staffers accidentally left a campaign memo at a restaurant: Here’s what it says

by Emily Larsen

| September 09, 2019

Kamala Harris’ campaign staff accidentally left an internal memo at a Manchester, New Hampshire, restaurant that was intended to prepare the California senator for questions about her poor poll numbers and limited number of presidential campaign stops in the first-in-the-nation primary state.

The “Briefings and Talking Points” memo obtained by Politico also included details about Harris’ relationships with New Hampshire individuals and Democratic politicians and provided insight into party influencers Harris is targeting. . . .

. . . Harris saw an increase in support in Democratic primary polls following the June primary debate in which she criticized former Vice President Joe Biden for working with segregationist senators in the 1970s to oppose busing. But the bump wore off, and she now polls in the single-digits . . . .

. . . "Note: Recent polling- Boston Globe/Suffolk (8/1-8/4) Biden 21%, Sanders 17%, Warren 14%, YOU 8%,” one line in the memo read.

More Government Welfare and Crony Capitalism with support from Kamala.

Notice Kamala refers to marijuana growing as part of the Ag sector. Just a warning here.

Soon the Democrats and other leftists will be having pot growing in their “Farm” Bill.

And some of the same people who deny that now, will support it when it happens. (Which should illustrate part of the reason WHY you cannot trust leftists for the most part in the culture wars.)

Kamala Harris criminal justice plan calls for government loans to marijuana grower

Tucked away inside 2020 Democrat Kamala Harris’ criminal justice plan is a proposal to give government subsidies to “socially and economically disadvantaged individuals” who wish to start their own marijuana business.

The California senator’s proposal, released Monday, describes how reforming the nation’s marijuana laws can help end “mass incarceration,” and racial disparities in the criminal justice system. One way to deal with that, Harris proposes, is to give federal dollars to states and localities so they can give loans for qualifying Americans interested in hopping onto the country’s partially-legalized agricultural sector.

“[Provide] states and localities with funds to make loans to assist small businesses in the marijuana industry that are owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals,” Harris’ plan reads. . . .

Speaking of marijuana retailing, at the moment, most banks can’t or won’t deal with them. Mostly can’t, iirc. This forces the typical retailer (and wholesaler) to take only cash at his store and then he often has to hire security to go with him to deposit the day’s receipts at a bank that will let him do that. There is a huge opening there for the day all forms of banking are allowed for legal marijuana businesses as they are for other retail and wholesale businesses.

So it would not surprise me to find out the big banks are sniffing around this one (pun nearly intended 😉 ) and will likely have their sticky fingers all over the changes in marijuana banking legislation even as they are trash talking that today. Just remember JP Morgan talked down Bitcoin for a long time and then suddenly revealed their own BTC trading operation. smh

To find Harris in the midst of this shouldn’t surprise anyone. Potentially lots of money to be made there.

Speaking of Harris’ opponent, Tulsi Gabbard, here’s an article dated today that likely didn’t make it into CNN or MSNBC.

key quote:
Asked if she believes “open borders” is a fair descriptor of the positions embraced by her Democratic primary opponents, Gabbard told YouTube host Dave Rubin that it was an accurate label and dismissed the oft-repeated Democratic rejoinder that conservatives use the phrase to tar their political adversaries.

“I don’t support open borders. Without secure borders, we don’t really have a country,” she said. “And while some of the other Democratic candidates will say ‘well, open borders that’s a conservative argument and that’s not really what’s being advocated for’ — if you look at the practical implications of some of the things they’re advocating for, it is essentially open borders.”
It’s notable that only two other candidates out of the entire field did not go along with Julian Castro’s commitment to decriminalizing illegal border crossings. This is a hammer with which the eventual Democratic candidate should be hit hard next year.
