The republicans are the party that helps the poor, minorities and single women the most. šŸ‘
:rotfl: In their minds yes. We’ve already lived through a time when not much trickled down upon them from the top. Well not much trickled on them of much good.

Why have a ranked list? Haven’t you seen all the satirical videos that start out:

ā€œDear Mr. President, welcome to this introduction video about the Netherlands…We totally understand it’s going to be America first, but can we just say, the Netherlands second.ā€

ā€œThis is a message from the government of Belgium…So, OK, American first, but Belgium second.ā€

ā€œThis is a message from the government of Sweden…We totally understand that American should come first, but can Sweden please be second.ā€
Are you suggesting that these countries don’t place their well being first above any other country? Is it not the gov’t duty to look after it’s own populace? Do you think Belgium really puts America first?

Exactly! Since when is a sense of Nationalism something to be ashamed of?Oh wait…Obama years…

Yes, I’m sure that most countries put their own people and their own interests first. Most people also put themselves, their own well being and their own interests first. But did Jesus say we should always put ourselves first? Should countries also always put themselves first? Should, for example, the US cut way back on foreign aid as Mr. Trump wants to do and spend that money on Americans instead thereby putting America first?

I’ll take the dignity of President Obama over the self-serving blather of Mr. Trump anytime.

Yes, of course! DUH! Aren’t you tired of hungry, homeless Americans, or would you like more in favor of a foreign country? Your argument doesn’t make sense.

Yes maybe it is a good thing. Tell me do you or your children have enough to eat? or do you only give so much after looking after yourself? ISn’t this you thinking about yourself first?

Do you give free room and board to a homeless person or are all your rooms in your house occupied.

Can a country look after other countries while deterioating to the point of being helpless itself? Is that what Jesus is asking of us?

If Republicans were really concerned about hungry Americans, they wouldn’t always be trying to cut programs like Food Stamps.

If you really cared, you would consider Americans first and not this fake moral outrage

If
Dignity = helping Planned parenthood slaughter millions.
Blather = helping Americans get jobs and look after themselves.

I’ll go with blather every time!

Please show us where premiums sky rocketted overnight as with Obamacare. I don’t think that has ever happened. Your point is not made.
The important thing is that rates would have been even higher without the ACA. A study by Loren Adler and Paul Ginsburg of the Brookings Institution found that even with the premium increases for 2017, rates are still lower than they would have been without the Affordable Care Act. The main reason is that the percentage that rates increased dropped earlier with the ACA, so much so that we still haven’t caught up to where rates would be under the pre-ACA trend.

But give Trump and his party and the insurance and drug industries time and it won’t shock me if the percentage that rates rise each year will soon catch up to the past. Or exceed it.

Well something has to go doesn’t it???

If not condoms and abortions for Africans then what should be cut to balance the books?

Do you think sending money oversees to help poor countries kill therir unborn a good use of taxpayer founds?

I don’t have much money and so do go without quite a bit myself. But I do give money and food to a neighbor when I can when she and her family don’t have enough for food. I have also allowed people who don’t have a place to live to stay in my house for a while until they could find a place of their own.

As for the US, it is one of the richest countries in the world and could certainly afford to feed, shelter and provide health care to all its own people and to also help other countries if there was a desire by most of its citizens to do so.

We should just agree that neither Democrats or Republicans care about deficits. The only reason Republicans bring the subject up is because it’s a good stick to beat the other party with (even though most of them probably don’t really care).
Well under their man Trump they may now get to show us how much they care and how sincere they have been about their crying about deficits all these many years.

My family has been living here in what is now the US for almost 400 years (since 1630) and I do appreciate the freedoms that my ancestors fought for in the Revolutionary War, and the Civil War, and World War II, etc. But I still don’t agree with ā€œAmerica firstā€ rhetoric.
Any leader of their respective nation that doesn’t put their interests first, is unfit to lead that nation. Take the leader of Canada… no just please, take him…take him away. šŸ˜‰

Drop the mike, Thorolfr! šŸ‘

Maybe some of the rich people in my church who have two or three houses, several cars, etc. could do a little more to help the poor both in our own country and in other countries. It’s not unusual for me to park next to a Bentley or a Lexus when I go to church. Maybe that member of my church could drive a Ford or a Subaru instead and donate the money to charity. Maybe some of them who live in $3 million dollar homes (and have another $1 million dollar home somewhere else) could afford to downsize to something cheaper so that they could help others out who aren’t so fortunate.
