Those on this forum who have jumped all over Mourdock’s comments can revel in the latest push by your party. I know some of you are pro-life, but if that is true, you cannot sit there and condemn Mourdock’s statement and support YOUR party.

YOU have to choose. It is YOUR choice to support life or abortion. YOUR continued support for the Democrat party is YOUR continued support for abortion, like it or not, because YOUR support allows those people to remain in office.

I can’t wait for the apologetics to begin.

Peace

There are some who don’t care one way or the other about abortion and support the Dems for other reasons, whatever they are.

Wouldn’t you say this is a little different? Getting votes by promising abortion on demand?

Doesn’t sound very Catholic to me.
Read what SamH said, and how I responded. Which of us used the term “abortion on demand”? 🤷

There is no seperation…vote for a democrat, you vote for the platform he/she stands for. That my friend includes many intrinsic evils.

Try reading the thread.
You too. Read your remark and my response. Consistent.

BTW, what’s the problem in saying that all political parties welcome votes? Am I wrong? Even the GOP wants people to vote for it.

Finally, someone has the nerve to tell it like it is

Also, to quote Bishop Paprocki, If you vote for obama, you are putting YOUR eternal soul at risk of hell. Period.

I would be loathe to attribute infallibility to even that fine bishop. His authority extends only to his own diocese.

T. It is YOUR choice to support life or abortion.
That’s not the choice. You can try and define it any way you want, but that’s not the choice. It’s the “pro-life” groups who did the spin of being pro-choice into “pro-abortion.” Almost all the people I know who support the law as it is are certainly not at all fans of abortion. YOUR side’s constant use of the term and trying to characterize everyone this way is hugely offensive, dishonest, and probably one of the ways you shoot yourselves in the foot.

So, people with agendas spin things. You do, the Dems do, the Republicans do, my neighbors do and I imagine, I do.

People define their own choices, not you. For me the choice is: who’s the biggest lair. That’s Romney, no question. Or, who is most likely to care about the disenfranchised? That’s Obama. Or: who is most likely to defend the Constitution? That’s neither.

Your side made abortion a big issue, problem is, your side wouldn’t stop it if they could. Rich guys want their girlfriends and daughters taken care of. The “business” of abortion is being sustained by corrupt politicians from ALL sides. No one is going to do thing one to stop it. At least my side is honest about their position: legal choice.

Too bad the real issues are lost in the rhetoric, in the media and here. Too bad everyone wants to be right and justified and claim victory instead of do anything useful that might lower the rate of unwanted pregnancy or take a look at how young women are educated or… or even be able to defend the stand that abortion is wrong without resorting to some Church document.

IMO everything about this is a tragedy.

And there are some who claim to care but still support the Democrat party.

Peace

Tim
On these forums, it does no good to state one’s beliefs. One’s statements are immediately spun, or rejected as truth, unless they are in support of a particular partisan candidate.

Exactly so, especially if you aren’t a GOP partisan. 🤷

Actions speak louder than words.

Who gives the most to charities?
Who argued the infants born alive act?

Start with the basics and the picture becomes very clear.

It is amazing to me how many people will justify abortion because of their own self interest.

If you do the research it was the pro abortionists that changed pro abortion to pro choice, not those against abortion, as you rightly call them pro-life.
