Demonic possession and sins?

Any thoughts ? After reading this stuff it kind of spooks me!
Well I don’t know you well enough to try and make a judgement, but I do know that if I had to ask myself “could I be possessed?” I would find a priest and talk to him about it. If there was any doubt in my mind I’d definitely start looking for answers.

Will a priest even talk to me being I’m not catholic?

Yes, a priest will still talk to you. You can’t go to confession or take communion, but you can enter a catholic church and watch mass any day that it’s offered. Just call a local parish and explain your situation and that you would like to talk to the priest about it.

I get the feeling if I were possessed and went to a priest I might be sorry I did being that if there are demons around they would be angry so to say! That’s why I’m on here instead. Having said that, thanks for the advice I may just do that and there is a catholic church near my house too! I do know a lot about daemons, I was taught that they were Gods , don’t know if this plays into anything though! I’m just at a crossroad it seems!

Is there not a priest in here that could message me?

You may be interested in reading the book “Ransomed From Darkness” by Moira Noonan. It is not written in a sensational dramatic way.

It is the story of a young woman who got started in Reiki, and her involvement in the occult grew after that.
Finally, she returned to the Catholic faith. Well written!

Here is Moira Noonan’s site:

When you do ‘Energy work’ you leave yourself vulnerable… Prayer is the best form of defense and I unfortunately didn’t ask for protection…
I have a similar story… Of demonic attack and possesion

I started doing Reike and felt a lot of peace, everything seemed brighter, at Mass I felt like I was attending it for the first time, the words seemed to hold greater meaning and understanding, It became more than what had become a Sunday rituaI where I had got into a habit of reciting ‘my lines’ at the appropriate time…I felt Bliss… *( I guess I hadn’t worked on someone that was a Wicca and Witch at this point) *

I then got involved with other ‘healing Modalities’ believing them to be benevolent… Unfortunately while doing a course on Healing touch I ended up doing a ‘clearing on a lady’ I just felt she needed light and asked that the light of the Holy Spirit enter her …She started coughing and coughing… When it was her turn to work on me I felt ‘fear’ didn’t understand why, I didn’t think to ask Archangel Michael for protection…
At the end of the course when the facilitator said that although she was a nurse so for her she does it from a practitioner point some like to draw on ‘Spirit’ ‘Mother Earth’ ‘Source’ God… The girl that I had been with said She was a Wicca and witch…** I spent over 6 years trying to clear the gunk that had attached itself to me… ****I couldn’t pray, couldn’t go to Church… **When I finally got the strength to fight back I still couldn’t go near a church, a year later I felt there was only one attachment left…

I started to try and pray the Rosary… Everytime I started I came over with complete fatigue would yawn like crazy one after the other and have to stop… months went by, I discovered CAF and asked for prayer intentions… little by little I could complete a prayer…

Enough that one day I went to Church and bawled my eyes out… The Priest prayed and annointed me, on the drive home I coughed up some weird froth & bile…

I am saying this because, anything that you do that is not in a Church setting where you are emptying your mind you are allowing the sources of Evil a space to enter…

Demons like nothing better than to try and get hold of someone who has faith, the closer you start to get to God the more likely are the attacks in different shapes and form come along…

This is my story… forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=507212

Very good story

I am amazed that some on here have not been taught to keep away from all forms of occult practices.

Christian healing follows only the pattern laid down for us by our Lord in his earthy walk and of his Apostles.

Being too open to all that seems miraculous is a great folly. It seems that the faith that was delivered to the Apostles suffered hugely, like Judaism did before it and since, from syncretism.

The problem with the Israelites was not that they became unbelievers in Almighty God, but that they blended their worship of him with other gods at the same time. This was deeply offensive to God and he took away his defensive powers from them when they did so and they were destroyed until they purged themselves of such things.

We need to repent of every affection that stands between us and Jesus/Father/Holy Spirit.
Otherwise when we attempt to stand up to Satan, he will laugh at us, wound us and carry on worse than before (seven sons of Sceva Acts 19:14). Remember that the Devil goes around as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Stop being a tasty morsel and become, for Satan. a hard nut to crack. Keep looking to Jesus and proclaiming his victory over the adversary and all his works AND HE (Satan) WILL FLEE FROM YOU.

Stand upon the scriptures and be strong:

1 Peter 5:6-11
Be you humbled therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in the time of visitation: 7 Casting all your care upon him, for he hath care of you. 8 Be sober and watch: because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, goeth about seeking whom he may devour. 9 Whom resist ye, strong in faith: knowing that the same affliction befalls your brethren who are in the world. 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us into his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, will himself perfect you, and confirm you, and establish you. 11 To him be glory and empire for ever and ever. Amen.
