My thoughts exactly and are we not just as guilty as the devil, our we not proud by claiming ourselves to be better… Thus we are all guilty of the same Sin that caused him to be cast out in the first place.

Our pride!

And make no mistake we are prideful of our accomplishments, we put men on the moon, then claimed it as our own by waving a little flag, but the irony is, all those guys died from Lukemia after being exposed to Stellar radiation… So is there a devil? Oh I would say yes…

As they often say “the devil is in the details!”
Where do you get this stuff??? Neil Armstrong died from complications after surgery at the age of 82. Buzz Aldrin is still living 45 years after his walk on the moon.

Yes - we are guilty of the sin of pride, but it is not the same as the what caused the angels to fall.

Locust’s are actually very friendly creatures, they pose no threat to human life, but after they sprayed them all with multiple pesticides, they later told everybody hey it’s “Kosher” you can eat them!

If you follow the Bible then you follow the word of Rome and the word of “Apollion” apollo, the Roman Sun God…
“How bright thou art, oh Son of the Dawn…”

If you follow Islam then you follow the Pagan rock of Memphis…

If you follow the Tohrah then you follow the Chaldee and their vision of a one world Government where they turn the temple of the “On High!” into a place of buisness…

Fear not the serpent, for it does not decieve…

It just bite’s you if you p*ss it off!
And again…Where do you get this stuff???

A third of the angels fell from heaven with the devil, am I right on that account? If so there is no telling how many that is, there were only 200 or so watchers/Grigori which fell and that’s not enough to be responsible for all the demonic activity we are seeing. And the fallen watchers were confined to a place of waiting. 1 sanctioned exorcist wrote that he was conducting some 40 to 80 exorcisms a day and could do more given the time and physical ability, that’s just 1 Priest. Those numbers just blow my mind! These demons must really be working hard to infect human beings, in the days of Jesus as well as now.
Yes. 1/3 is the number.

The number of watchers is not from a canonical text. Grigori is also not canonical. Verchiel is not canonical. What religion have you been studying?

re: Where do you get it from…

Out of my hat of course along with this fluffy white rabbit!

There’s so much to be found in these Velium bound books… Just try to ignore the flakey crumbled lamb-skin, or the freeze dried indian ink… There’s so much we can still find in here… It’s like Gold doubloons… Hold up what was that, you’ve just killed the White dove by crushing it in a cage… Doesnt matter it still look’s good when the masses look at it…

It’s only a little mercury poisoning stop complaining and drink your sea-water!

Oh just those ancient Summerian / Akadian ones, that where around at about the same time as the Children of Ad and the Son’s of Adad… Why, is it bothersome? All hail… Hera, the Goddess with Scale’s if you could even class that as her real name… (hint)

Did people in the NT even KNOW about mental illness and were they able to differentiate between mental illness and demons. If so can anyone link me to some proof?

In Matthew 17:14 it talks about the son being a lunatic but then later says that “Jesus rebuked the devil” which sounds like they’re using mental illness and demons interchangeably.
Contrary to popular belief, the generations which came before us were not imbeciles. In many ways, they were far more intelligent than we are today.

Why are there so many demons in Jesus’ day? Were some of these mentally ill.persons? If so, isn’t the Bible wrong about calling them demons?
There were many demons in Jesus’ day because there was a great deal of idolatry and other grievous sins going on with no sacraments to counter it all. God bless you.

Do you think demons were gravitating near Jesus because He is he Messiah and were trying to fight a spiritual battle?

Did the start of baptizing people help lower the number of demons around?

I read in Ven. Mary of Agreda’s The Mystical City of God that Satan and his demons had their eye on Jesus all throughout His life because they thought that He could be the Messiah. At the point in time when all the prophesies about Jesus the Messiah were all fulfilled and Jesus says on His cross: It is finished – Satan and the demons then knew without a doubt that Jesus was the Messiah, says Ven. Mary of Agreda. But I don’t know if demons gravitated towards Jesus while He was on earth. I suppose they may have, but I don’t know. God bless you.

For those of you who might be interested, here is a video of Adam Blai at work. He is the author of the book I wrote about earlier in this thread. He is a layman and an Auxiliary member of the International Association of Exorcists.

Do not watch it if you are easily frightened.

Hello Faith.
Did the start of baptizing people help lower the number of demons around?
it is a mistake to think that the presence of Holy persons or objects keeps demons away. They can both be present at the same time, otherwise no actual exorcisms would be necessary. The demons would simply flee when a holy person or object came near. Not so. I’ve read accounts of the Blessed Sacrament being used to repel demons during the Rite and it failing and causing a bigger commotion then usual when the Priest attempts to either give Communion to the possessed or exposes it for confirmation of demonic presence. Yikes!

I am very sorry, but what I had meant to say is that the start of baptizing people* reduced the number of demonic possessions*, not necessarily the number of demons that were around. This I have read, and this makes perfect sense. God bless you.

It is not a mistake to think that holy objects and holy people repel demons.

There are demons and there are DEMONS. Some demons will be repelled by the mention of the holy name of Jesus. Other demons take more effort. Sacramentals do indeed offer protection.

Sacraments are effective. By virtue of our baptisms we have the right to command demons with the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus. The Church gives us all of the weapons we need to fight the diabolic. Christ did not ascend into heaven and leave us defenseless.

It’s ok. I wasn’t clear in my question.

No, your question was clear, Faith1960 – I just jumped the gun and didn’t read your question the right way because I knew from my spiritual reading that baptisms reduce demonic possessions – and this bit of info was all I was focused on.

God bless you!

I meant did baptism help to lower the number of demons we saw in the NT.

In my book Evidence of Satan in the Modern World, author Leon Christianiti says
“There is no reason to believe that the number of cases of possession quoted in the Gospels represent the normal number either at that period or today. It is possible, even probable that such cases would occur with extraordinary frequency in the neighborhood of Jesus. The union in one person of deity and human nature, as in Jesus, Son of Man and Son of God, would, by God’s will, give rise to its counterpart in repeated manifestations of diabolism.”

Thanks for the interesting quote.
