Trump at least says he would replace illegal immigration with legal immigration. You can believe that or not as you wish, but there is no basis for saying he wants to terminate all immigration.

There is no program to lock up children.

Do you really approve of MS 13?

And, good heavens, calling things what they are might “devolve,” according to some, into actual justice and the rule of law.

Let’s not permit calling what is good, ‘good’ and calling what is evil, ‘evil.’

That might be too dehumanizing because it forces humans to look at the world through a moral lens, and we can’t have that, can we?
 
Its not very realistic to think one of these base violent criminals could be warm and fuzzy after some “counseling”. They behave like wild, vicious, animals - like Islamic terrorists only on steroids. Women have now been accepted to run in their packs and anybody unfortunate to encounter any of them, will probably not live to tell about it. We pray for sinners, that they would ask for forgiveness of God - that is as close as I intend to be.

You need to stop projecting the way your mind works onto “the public.” Most minds aren’t as easily confused as you make them out to be. Only someone with a dim view of “the public” would propose what you are proposing.

Speaking of treating others as ‘human,’ you seem to be insisting that we treat people (the public mind) as incapable of rational thought, the quintessential capacity of human beings that distinguish us from our brethren, the animals – rational animals that we be.

Or did Aristotle commit a faux pas when he coined that term? Do you have something against animals, per se, or just when Trump uses the word?

Also recall that Boethius made the claim that committing evil reverts humans to forms of beastiality. He even depicted how different sins made us like particular beasts (or animals, if you choose) because they mitigate our capacity to reason well regarding the particular action.

I have to admit, the spectacle of Trump opponents losing their minds over Trump calling murdering, drug dealers and human traffickers “animals” is pretty epic. It’s also a good illustration of how Trump is literally (not figuratively) driving his opponents stark raving mad. Does anybody really think the path to the “Blue Wave” is going to run through standing up for MS-13 gang members?

FYI not only do I not harbor resentments. I don’t even have any. But I do have a good memory of posts, and found your indifference to Trump’s language to be noteworthy in contrast to your outrage about "pearls before … " .

Ha! If you breathe air you have resentments. Every human does. You called me a “swine” because I don’t agree with your assessment of Trump. And you just alluded to it again in this thread. That’s resentment with a capital “R”.

We get it. You didn’t have to explain. If Trump uses a harsh epithet on someone, he’s to be damned for it. But if someone calls him one, that’s okay because all ugly things aimed at Trump are deserved.

And if some ordinary person doesn’t agree, you call him a “swine”.

I didn’t leave your Democrat party for that. I left it because of its dedication to abortion. But even without abortion, I suspect I would leave today’s Dem party if they act like you’re acting.

  3. If you had paused to review tour facts before falsely accusing me, you will find that the “pearls before …” comment that so outraged you came from another poster, not me.
