Here’s what you said; No, I’m not 'kidding". It is a matter of attidude.
If I’m right about his obstinate heresy, then he’s a heretic, isn"t he?You may be 100% right but also 100% wrong on how you approach things.
No, they cited the law when it didn’t apply; or in a way that was misapplied. They were wrong and Our Lord corrected them, and rather severely at times .The Pharisees and Sadducees were often right about what they were talking about, but it’s their attitude and approach that Jesus objected to.
So your assumptions are based on a “gut feel” and the perceived tone of my posts. What do you think the perception is of your posts; especially the one I am answering here? And No, I’ve made no assumptions about you but just based my gut feeling on the wording and tone of your posts.
Not true, I said twice he was spoken with about the problem.First off, you tell us you have not bothered to discuss this with the priest in question.
Yes, that’s why he was twice questioned about the problem.Second, given that every priest dedicates his life to the Church, most of us here think we ought to give every priest the benefit of a doubt when such serious allegations are made.
Maybe because he is wrong?. I have no authority to discipline him anyhow, so you saying I am judge, jury, and executioner is empty. It appears that you have made yourself judge, jury, and executioner. And my question to you is WHY ???
What I think is what is factual. He says there is no purgatory. How much clearer can it get?Are you prepared to ruin a man’s life and in paticular a man of God based on what you think are heretic remarks?
The Pharisees made incorrect judgments; don’t you know that?I think the spirit in which you make these allegations is far more sinister than the allegations themselves. And that is precisely how the Pharisees treated Jesus. No kidding !
Explain that “due process”, would you?AND I do have an axe to grind, I object strenusously to anyone attacking a priest without due process
This is a false charge and you have no basis to make it.and taking it upon themselves to discredit a priest on remarks with out proper explanation or defense.
And you also think it’s OK for a priest to say there is no purgatory. Because he has give his life for the Church; doesn’t he need to have the Faith as well?I think it is uncharitable and unChristian.
