Why?

I came here for answers, but everytime I tried to talk about Protestants and their beliefs some self-righteous Catholic had to come into the thread and berate us Protestants.

As for actual reasons for not converting… I have a serious problem with the line of thinking that somehow people can’t be filled with the Holy Spirit and… oh darn, I have to go, I’ll edit this later.

Dear SearchForGod, if your heart is seeking for the true Church, the church founded by Jesus himself, not by any man, then please do not allow any improper response from any Catholics to stop your sincere endeavor.

Also, there may be some Catholics who do not believe we may be filled with the Holy Spirit, but keep in mind there are many charismatic Catholics who not only believe but are actually filled with the Holy Spirit.

The bottom line is if you truly want to search, do not let your search be easily stopped by any human being’s improper action.
Truth should never be sacrificed by any human mistakes or false belief.

Other posters have given good recommandations about Scott Hahn’s book and the program of “Journey Home” on EWTN, have you checked them out?
