Desperately need prayers

Diane & Joe,
Still keeping you in daily prayer, at mass and adoration.
 
Today was another really bad one. Joe told me I made his life miserable. What doyou say to that? Why, why, why is all this happening. I ask myself over and over again. I do not like it in Philadelphia after coming here with him from Florida. I cannot get out in this 20 degree (and often MUCH LESS) weather. i can’t risk a cold or pneuemonia (which seems to be coming on) without insurance. I have to be strong but I cannot. When he says these things I just want to die. I know that it wrong but that is how I feel. I did not make it to mass today because of the ice on the roads. I don’t know if I need to confess this but I will…I am actually finding myself looking at apartments back in Florida just in case he wants me out. Please pray for him. My only prayer is for strength. Diane, at some point, you will have to hear his voice like the rain on your roof. He has clearly changed radically and his words have not been those which were his before this began. The evil one is now using Joe’s irrational words to tear you down and rip you away from your Lord. Remember that your first relationship is with God. Him you must love above all else, and He will speak nothing but words of love to you, as He is love itself. Joe is not himself and is not acting as himself. So, someone is acting through him, and that someone is constantly trying to defeat you. This has all of the hallmarks of a spiritual attack. Consider all that you have been through, all that you have sacrificed, all that you and your mother have suffered, and this is what you hear? It is not coming from a Heavenly source, but rather a worldly source - and we live in the princedom of the evil one.

Have you ever thought of employing a spiritual warfare prayer? I can assure you that they are very efficacious and can restore your faith and confidence in the Lord when under attack. There are several available online and, employed with the faithful desperation of one under attack, I can assure you that it will bring relief.

I am praying that the Lord will send a legion of Angels to your aid, causing the evil one and his foul lies to flee from you. Recall that the evil one, after tempting Jesus in the desert, left Him until later:

Luke 4:13 When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time.

I continue praying that you will have the stamina and fortitude of God’s foot soldier all through this attack. God bless you, my sister

O great Saint Peregrine, you who bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease, and were favored with the vision of Jesus Christ coming down from his cross to heal your affliction, ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of these sick people whom we entrust to you. Aided by your intercessions, we praise God and give thanks for His kindness and mercy. Amen.

Compassionate Jesus, let us remember your gentle invitation to “Come…and be refreshed.” We bring you now all our worries, fears, needs and doubts-and those of this world. We entrust to you our loved ones, both living and deceased. Enfold us all in your love, now and evermore. Amen.

Almighty and loving Father, I thank you for giving St. Gerard to us as a most appealing model and powerful friend. By his example, he showed us how to love and trust you. You have showered many blessings on those who call upon him. For your greater glory and my welfare, please grant the favors which we ask in his name.

I continue to pray for a restoration of faith, hope and love, with the Heavenly assistance of the Angels and the intercession of the Saints. Strength and peace be with you, as they are within your reach. Speak to the Lord, cry out to Him, and He will respond. Don’t forget our Mother, who intercedes constantly. Amen! Alleluia!
