Desperately worried for my son and his choices in life

Praying for you and your family…

Lord, please watch over, protect, and guide this family. Help them through this difficult time. Bless them with the strength, mercy, love and compassion they need throughout this time. Wash over them with your loving presensce, peace, calm and love. Let them feel your love and healing hand. Surround them with your angels and turn around this trying ordeal to a speedy resolution and blessing of yours. Touch and ease the hearts of each and every family member with your love. Take away their pain and hurt and replace it with your love, joy, and happiness. I thank you in advance for answering my prayers. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lord, look upon him with eyes of mercy,
may your healing hand rest upon him,
may your lifegiving powers flow into every cell of his body
and into the depths of his soul,
cleansing, purifying, restoring him,

Merciful God , I ask You most earnestly to hear my prayers for Teresa’s youngest son .Lord ,please help him , keep him safe and guide him to make the right choices in his life .Please help him to realise and be sorry for the distress and worry he is causing his mother , my very dear friend Teresa , Help him grow in maturity in his life , and accept responsibility both for himself and for his lovely young children .Please help , comfort and sustain his mother in her worry and despair . I ask this of You , Merciful God , trusting in Your love and compasssion . Amen .

I am worried sick he will end up dead or in prison.He came back only on Friday on strict rules of no alcohol whatsoever and no going out anywhere.That lasted two days.There was another upsetting session this evening where my son disobeyed me and went out to get involved in a neighbour who was arguing with his partner…I specifically told him not to get involved particularly as he is already in serious trouble with the police.He was rude and disrespectful to me and confrontational with my husband.In the end he left saying this is the last time you will see me…took a bag of clothes and left. I am very upset as I write this and would really appreciate any prayers for my son to keep him safe and for God to guide him to the right path and that he will open his heart and mind to Gods will.

Hi, You should let go and let God. I would concentrate on the grand children. It may take prison to open up his mind up to other possibility in life for his world view to change. I was a hard headed young man and I finally realized that I had to change my thought process and be accepting of others as they are. I also stopped my drinking that also would cause problems in relationships. I will say a prayer for your son and both of you.
 
I am overwhelmed with your generosity…thankyou so very much from the bottom of my heart for all your prayers.

Guide his choices so that he will be responsible for his children as well as himself. Please bring Teresa and her husband peace, and help them to feel your Love at this stressful time. I am definitely praying for your son that he may see that there is more to life and that he is a very special person in God’s eyes and in everyone’s eyes. I pray that people may be understanding of his actions and see that he is truly a good person

Lord, we petition you to send the Holy Spirit to wake this young man up, as you woke up Saul on the road to Damascus! Please give Teresa serenity to accept the things she cannot change, which is her son’s choice to drink. We know that You are sovereign God and that you love this young man and desire that he should serve You with his whole heart. We turn him over to You, Lord, for Your will to be done.

We ask that You protect these innocent children who need a father and not one in prison. Please, St. Joseph, pray for them, that their father’s heart might be broken on their behalf, that he see what his drinking is doing to them, and that he would accept his responsibility to be a father to his children.

You tell us that the Holy Spirit intercedes for Teresa when she doesn’t know how to pray for her son. Thank you for the Holy Spirit, Lord. We are so small and lost sometimes! We are overwhelmed with the circumstances of our lives. But You are always with us, even when we cry out in pain, especially when we cry out in fear.

Turn our eyes always to You, Lord. Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. Amen.

I just want to thank each one of you for your generosity of prayers and kind supportive words.You do nto know how much they mean to me.Life is tough right now but God is giving me strength to cope…some how even with tears galore. Tomorrow I have a doctors appointment to take my son to get help for his drink and anger issues.My son has been really good since the let down Monday night.Things have escalated at home in other respects and I am delaing with this alone.I am feeling so abandoned betrayed empty and lost and hurt and deeply sad…anxious too.I have had a lot to keep me busy but lack of sleep and worry and emotional upset doesn’t help.
TheRealJulianne thankyou for your advice and I have looked into Alanon and it definitely seems the right organisation to help and i am to contact them tomorrow also.

I am truly grateful to each of you for your prayers…they are keeping me going.
