Desperately worried for my son and his choices in life

Lord thankyou for these prayer partners who have helped sustain me through these frightening worrying times.I thankyou for Your resolution and ask You would guide all decision makers to make their decisions according to Your holy will that will best help Tom to turn his life around.Lord I pray that You would continue to guide Tom to open his heart and mind to Your Holy will and turn his life around. Lord we pray our son will be shocked into reconsidering his lifestyle and choices.
Fill him with deep, ongoing conversion.
Minimize or dispense with any sentence, and protect him from harm.
Please ensure that he has all the help and guidance he needs to live his life according to his highest temporal and spiritual welfare.

Lord, bless our friend Teresa as she struggles with doing the right thing for her son. Help her to let go where she needs to and trust in Your ways. Relieve her of any guilt she is feeling about her son’s situation and help her realize that he is responsible for his own actions even when he tries to involve them in the drama of the life he chooses.

Come into Tom’s heart Lord, that he will free his parents of feeling they have to be there to correct his mistakes. Give him an awakening to the pain he is causing them by his continued bad choices, an awakening that will bring genuine and lasting change in his life, and not lip service to manipulate them for his own good.

Help Tom to move toward the life You will for him, however he has to get there. I also ask that you keep Teresa and her husband united in all decisions concerning Tom so that he is not a cause of disagreement or frustration for them. I ask this through the intercession of Your Most Holy Mother, Mary.
 
Dearest Teresa . praying for Tom , you and all the family . God grant that the outcome on Monday is fair and favourable to Tom , and that he remembers the values that you have instilled into him , and learns from this terrible experience .

Merciful God , I ask you , both humbly and sincerely to watch over Teresa’s youngest son and keep him safe . Lord , please continue to help him , keep him safe and guide him to make the right choices in his life . Please help him to realise and be sorry for the distress and worry he is causing his mother , my very dear friend Teresa , Help him grow in maturity in his life , and accept responsibility both for himself and for his lovely young children .Please help , comfort and sustain his mother in her worry , despair and distress. People may deprive me of worldly goods and status. Sickness may take from me my strength and the means of serving you. Holy Mary, full of the presence of God during your life you accepted with great humility the Holy Will of the Father and the legacy of your Son Our Lord Jesus Christ. Evil never dared to entangle you with its confusion.
Since then you have interceded for all of our difficulties. With all simplicity and patience you have given us examples on how to untangle the knots in our complicated lives. By being our Mother forever, you arrange and make clear the path that unites us to Our Lord.
Holy Mary, Mother of God and ours, with your maternal heart untie the knots that upset our lives. We ask you to receive in your hands
Tom and Teresa
and deliver us from the chains and confusions that have us restrained.
Blessed Virgin Mary, through your grace, your intercession and by your example, deliver us from evil and untie the knots that keep us from uniting with God, so that once free of every confusion and error, we may find Him in all things, have Him in our hearts and serve him always in our brothers and sisters.

Today was the court hearing.I was up at 4am and we began the drive at 5am to get to the court some distance away.We had a smooth and safe journey and we found somewhere to park easily.I had been anxious among other things about the minor details of the journey and getting parked etc. It has been a very long day.We went into court soon after arriving.It was a long arduous hearing.Tom was found guilty and we go again to court (this time local) for sentencing on August 8th.In the meantime a report has to be prepared by the probation office for guidance to the sentence he may be given.I placed all my trust in Our Lord to guide today’s proceedings and am so relieeved that God guided today’s hearing. I really appreciate your prayers…I could not have gotten through all this worry without each of you. Thankyou Irishmom and triumphguy for thinking of us today! I love your words “I pray Tom grows in wisdom and maturity to become the person God is calling him to be.”

You’ve had a long and tiring day! I was praying for a safe journey and for Tom.

I also pray that the sentence is just, but tempered with mercy, and seeks to assist Tom in his growth rather than creates further anger and bitterness.
