Is lying about destroying a item you did not mean to destroy a mortal sin?

How can you tell this is happening? You can’t keep making new accounts
They had a previous account of a similar name which was suspended just a few hours ago (JCServant011).
Hehe, well, at least he/she isn’t being deceptive about it.They had a previous account of a similar name which was suspended just a few hours ago (JCServant011).
It may not be. It really depends on the circumstances. You lied about it even though it was accidental. Who did you lie to? The owner of the item? If so, is this because you have good reason (e.g. based on experience) to expect the owner of the item to be unreasonably angry and unforgiving? If so, your lie wasn’t a mortal sin, but you should still confess it. If the circumstances were different from what I just guessed, it’s not possible to say (without you giving further information) whether it was a mortal sin or not.Is lying about destroying a item you did not mean to destroy a mortal sin?
It’s only one, no more.So I wouldn’t worry about the Eagles and their super bowl rings.
This rare and extreme scenario cannot be used to justify frequent little lies. What about if you are hiding Jews and the Nazi at the door asks if you are hiding any Jews?
Either say there are no Unterschmieken, since there is no such thing, or invite them to search. The house is likely going to be searched. What about if you are hiding Jews and the Nazi at the door asks if you are hiding any Jews?
