Well how else do they sing the chaplet in Poland?
CathMass:
I never said the chaplet had to be in Polish.
As far as praying it well first of all the Blessed Sacrament is in the Tabernacle if its not exposed. Also see what Jesus said:
**"*By means of this image I shall be granting many graces to souls; so let every soul have access to it." (570) ***

- Divine Mercy in My Soul
The Diary of St. Faustina
So yes its just an image but keep in mind that He still hears you. By the way Jesus is still in the Tabernacle. Our Lord also said that the soul that will venerates the image will not perish. The Lord said that He wanted the image venerated in the church so it is not wrong to pray before the image. I know veneration is an act of respect towards His image but acknowledging the Mercy of Jesus as depicted with the blood and water in His sacred image shows veneration of God’s Mercy and not just a framed portrait. Jesus said it was not in the paint or the brush but in His grace. When we use the image with the chaplet we invoke grace.
So the chaplet together with the Eucharist either exposed or in repose and the image on the side is giving honor of God’s Mercy as requested in the revelations to St. Faustina
Keep in mind we don’t worship it. :nope:
So basically the Lord Jesus demands not only the worship of the Blessed Sacrament but also the veneration of the image.
CathMass:
Come on man! To have a devotion ot the Divine Mercy doesn’t require a picture of the improperly done “Divine Mercy” image. Even Sr.Faustyna said that the Divine Mercy image fails to describe Christ in all the beauty she saw Him in. Why just have a painting when you can have Christ in all of His Splendor in the tabernacle/monstrance? It’s a picture of God or God in all of His Majesty. Which one do you choose?
I never said that it was wrong to pray before the picture! I am no Bibliolater Protestant heretic! If you would see my house, we have 3 Our Lady of Czestochowa ikon,1 “Infant of Prague” statue, I Our Lady of Lichen,Poland picture, I Our Lady of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska picture, 2 pictures of the Divine Mercy image, one picture of Christ crucified, one picture of Christ the King spread throughout the house and that’s not counting the amount of holy cards we have. As you can clearly see that I am no Protestant!
I am just saying that you don’t need to bring in that 10foot high picture from that church you said! We have the Most Blessed Sacrament, what else deserves such great praise?
Also, we already have an image of Christ on the reredos, the altar crucifix, the processional cross, the Sacred Heart side altar, the side altar crucifix, the altar rail crucifix, and many more I’m sure!
This is just like that last time where you tried to get a relic of St.Anne because you couldn’t have St.Anne devotions without it! Yes you can!
