1He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

2A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

Does this mean that eunechs and ‘bastards’ can’t get to Heaven?

Deuteronomy xxiii. Notes & Commentary:Ver. 1. Eunuch. By these are meant, in the spiritual sense, such as are barren in good works. … Ver. 3. Ever. This shews that the former verse only excludes bastards for a time. … source

Interesting. It mentions only the assembly. But, remember that this was old covenant and Christ is the new. Christ opened the gates of heaven, and taught that only that which comes from the heart of man makes him unclean (Matthew 15:18-19). Deuteronomy does not mention the heart, but only physical injury or abnormality. Since Christ descended into the abode of the dead and preached to them just before His resurrection (1 Peter 3:18-20), I would think that heaven would be as open to them as it would to anyone else.

Read Acts chapter 8. Philip baptizes the eunuch. We are no longer subject to the law of Moses.

Jewish commentators such as Rashi state this simply means they may not intermarry with the Israelites. I recall the Dead Sea Scrolls likewise having commentary on this too, I believe it was applied to the Sanctuary. St Clement of Alexandria also had his own unique commentary on this verse. Nehemiah 13 also has some discussion on these verses. But, no, these verses are not about who goes into Heaven or not.

Also see Matthew 19:12, where Jesus seems to approve of those who make themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven.

this is not about who goes to heaven it is about who joins temple worship under the old Mosaic law.
