That a false apparition is false through and through though. Whereas any translation of the Bible, even if it be mediocre and not contain all the requisite books, is still the word of God. Even if the truth of it be somewhat obfuscated by translation or removal of books. Just as a diamond is still a diamond and still valuable, though it be in the hands of a thief or lose a little of its lustre through unskilled cutting of the stone.And many Catholics have been brought back to the full practice of the faith by chasing phony apparitions like Bayside and Medjagorge. And your point is?
Quality of translation is a pretty subjective thing in any event, you know. There are numerous Catholic translations that are worse and have done as much damage to the faithful as the KJV. I should know, I was brought up in Catholic school on some of 'em (Good News Bible anyone?)
If burning of poor translations of the Bible is in order that one should probably be on the bonfire alongside the KJV if not before it. So again, no burning of KJVs if you please.
