I have to ask now, because I’m just so curious: What was the Devil’s Train of Thought?

Did he simply love himself too much?
Could his rebellion be based on his disdain towards us, humans, who get to have free will, a soul, etc?
Did he not like the idea that God would condescend and become a man, as though to think, “I cannot serve a God who becomes Man!”?
I once heard something, a legend maybe, that the demons hated the idea that a mere created woman would become Queen of Heaven, was it that?
Or was it the ENTIRE culmination of these things and more?

I know it couldn’t be that the Devil thought he could win, I feel that he was well aware of that fact (hence this question).

(Mormons have a ready answer: Mormon God presented
a plan requiring a Savior, ‘Lucifer’ said " Here am I. Send
me! …," then Jesus said," Father, thy will be done, and
the glory be thine forever." Mormon God chose Jesus,
then ‘Lucifer’ became Satan, his followers the demons. **
uh…Yeah No.:p**)

All of the points you bring up could have (and probably were) part of the reason for the demons’ rebellion.

The angels must have been unable to behold the full extent of God’s glory and beauty* (aka the Beatific Vision) before they were put through some kind of trial by God, whoever chose him could behold the beatific Vision, whoever chose Lucifer against God were driven out of Heaven and became demons, Lucifer (bearer of light) became Satan (the enemy/adversary/accuser). Infatuation with himself, he became ego-centred instead of God-centred, I don’t know whether this was a long process or it happened the moment he was put to the test by God. If I’m blessed enough to make it to Heaven, I look forward to being able to acquire this wealth of knowledge, understanding God’s eternity, the fact that he was not created, the dual nature of Christ, Adam and Eve etc.

*It is believed/assumed/taught that you can’t see the Beatific Vision and turn from God, you retain free-will but there is nothing you want but to be with God.

Satan was an angel who refused to worship a God who was also a man.

It has been testified somewhere, "What is man that thou art mindful of him,
or the son of man, that thou carest for him?
Thou didst make him for a little while lower than the angels
,
thou hast crowned him with glory and honor,
putting everything in subjection under his feet."
Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. As it is, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him.
But we see Jesus, who for a little while was made lower than the angels, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for every one.
(Hebrews 2:6-9)

Satan refused to worship a God who, for a little while had become “lower than the angels.” 'The devil refused to be in subjection to a God who would become lower than an angel, in subjection to a God who would become lower than himself, in subjection to a God who would become man - Jesus.

You know when you look at it at the simple view. . The human race is facing the very same problem that satan might have had , That is to trust that what ever GOD makes is good and what he asks us to obey and follow is truth. . And that is the work of the devil him self to confuse man just as he is confused and delusional. .

I read about this a while back. I have to go through my library and see if I can find the answer. Give a me a day or so to find it.
