So, that’s your excuse for ‘being a pain’?
Best one I can think of on short notice. (Oh wait, do I have to say “I’m joking” to the tight-lipped neo-Puritans in here?)

Many posters say things that they have no proof for. It goes with the territory of those who like to argue just to argue. And many statements are made as factual information when in reality it is just an opinion.
I agree. What do you think should done about that?
My sense it to ask - even when the question might seem “ridiculous”.

I trust that you see the difference between these two thoughts.
Sure. The first is the bare admission of a liberal that he expresses his politics through his network. The second is just the plain truth.

I don’t think there is anything we can do about it. In my case, I usually consider the source. I have asked for proof on very few things, and to date, I have been given none.

No, no one is a neo-puritan here; we just think that his ability to remain faithful to his wife might be a measure of his trustworthiness.
So you’re without sin? Never committed a single mortal one, I guess.

Ha! And your past is a measure of your trustworthiness?

Has Trump repented of his adultery? Should we trust unrepentant sinners?

creating unwanted babies that end up in abortion
Why do you persist in this untruth? You absolutely invented this. Does inventing this make you feel better about supporting millions of abortions?

I think that accountability for truthfulness is important.
Even if my requests are ignored, or even mocked by some, I don’t mind asking to draw attention to missing factual support.

I’m just going to add any extramarital sex leads to unwanted babies. “Protection” fails often.

That’s why our faith teaches that sex is the “marital embrace” and only reserved for marriage.

I had a college professor explain it best, that sex leads to babies, no matter how careful, and it isn’t fair to the potential baby if its parents aren’t committed to each other and to the baby.

Well if 3000 numbers cannot be substantiated to your liking, maybe the fact checking at politifact should.

Obama’s score card is a vertical mirror image of Trump’s score card.
Obama’s 8 years vs Trump’s 466 days.
And trump still has 2 years and 8 months to go.

This is an important point, but I find it disturbing how @ridgerunner tends to excuse this sort of behavior that results in the very abortions that he wants to base his voting on.
I didn’t excuse it. It’s a mortal sin. But you can’t say that any particular sex act results in an abortion. But you can be sure that supporting abortion supports abortion, which is what one does when one votes for abortion-supporting politicians.

That’s the Dem spin, all right. It’s Democrats deciding what to call a “lie”, and inventing most of it. We have seen it a number of times now, and it’s no more believable now than it was the first time.

Not a fact disputed. But perhaps you have alternative facts.

From George Will:

Virtually alone among Trump critics, he recognizes that the president is a b####rd child not so much of the right as of the left—of the dominant “mainstream” culture and its obsession with individual autonomy: its sexual libertinism and moral relativism, its disdain for traditional propriety and distrust of the very idea of objective truth. “The Trump people talk of ‘alternative facts,’ ” he says. “If the Nietzscheans at the Modern Language Association were paying attention, they’d say, ‘Ah, yes, Nietzsche told us about this; there are no facts, only interpretations.’ They would have given Trump tenure, for Pete’s sake.”

That is tautological.
Of course it is. It amazes that supporters of abortion candidates refuse to see that. If someone voted for an overt racist, you would take notice and condemn the action. But if someone votes for an overt supporter of abortion, your eyes grow dim and you excuse it. Amazing.
