Just recently, I’m having a problem with calling on our Mother for spiritual help. It seems a part of my heart could not accept that aside from God, you also have to pray to Mary to help overcome your sins or impurities. It’s as if to me that God’s power/grace is not enough and that I also have to call for the assistance of “only a human”. I used to say the rosary but have since stopped, primarily because I thought it to be time-consuming and that I have become busy (but I know I’m just unwilling to give it time). I also recently held this thinking that your prayer time with God alone will suffice for you to win the day and that the rosary’s benefits are only for those who believe in it, but I’m free not to believe in its “efficacy” and it will not affect my being a Catholic. Right now I’m struggling with my sexual sins (again), but deep inside of me is saying the rosary is the antidote so I have to get back to my devotion. So there, what have I been missing? Any advice will do, but I also humbly ask to say a prayer for me as I have long been battling with my sexual sins but can’t seem to make progress in it. It’s like I’m in circles.
