Please pray for me as I was recently diagnosed with HIV. I am new to the Catholic faith, and this has been a very troubling time for me.

Thank you in advance

You have my prayers. We are so glad to have you join the Catholic Faith.

Welcome, and I pray that you find fellowship and support within the Church community. I ask the heavenly Father, the name of Jesus, to help you cope with your illness as you deepen your life within God and the Church. Best wishes, Trishie

May the Good Shepherd, Who has brought you home. be with you always and help you through this time. I hope you live where there is good treatment for you. God bless.

You now have hope, not only in this world, but in the world to come. I was recently diagnosed with lymphoma which attacks the immune system, so we will be going through much the same. The Lord’s peace be always with you.

Merciful and loving father, look with unfathomable compassion upon NewCatholic88, lending the peace and hope that only You can. Provide strength for the journey and increasing faith all along the way. Grant that this troubled soul turn to You constantly in love, for guidance, comfort and true hope. Lord, Your promises are trustworthy and give us the necessary light to struggle toward in our daily process of conversion. Your love endures for ever, and may it shine increasingly upon NewCatholic88 both now and in the future. We ask this through the Holy Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

I will put you on my list of people to pray for.

Divine Physician and Healer of the Sick,
we turn to You in this time of illness.
O dearest Comforter of the Troubled,
alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love,
and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden.
Dear God,
we place our worries in Your hands.
We ask that You restore Your servant to health again.
Above all,
grant us the grace to acknowledge Your holy will
and know that whatsoever You do,
You do for the love of us.

I know it feels like a death sentence but it isn’t any more. With modern drugs you can live as long as most other folk. Take courage.

Just get right with God, accept Mary as your mother & you’ll feel a whole lot better. If you have any linger problems about your past life, go to Confession, get absolution and the feelings of relief are just amazing.

My thoughts & prayers are with you tonight.

Don’t be afraid.

I’ve been involved in the medical scene for awhile now. I can honestly say that absolutely nobody dies until God allows it. I’ve seen strange things.

You are in His hands. It doesn’t matter if you have HIV, cancer, or any other horribly troubling diagnosis. You don’t go to Him until He allows it. Don’t get me wrong, seek out medical help, for sure. Pray for the Grace to remain faithful and not despair.

Search and study the lives of the Saints, if you haven’t already. Look for the ones who had life-threatening conditions and see what they suffered, thought, believed, and did with their lives.

This diagnosis is clearly a part of your path to holiness, otherwise it would not have been allowed by God. Don’t be afraid. Everything will eventually work out for your Eternal good. These aren’t platitudes.

May God bless you with Grace, Truth, and Peace.

God is all loving and merciful, but he calls us to serve him in different ways. He forms us for His service through trials and tribulations. We must never feel that God has abandoned us because such times are the greatest opportunity to become closer to God. I would like to recall the now cliché “Footsteps in the Sand”. Although it is used often and without thought, it is a beautiful expression of God’s love for us. He is always there and He is always willing to carry us when we need Him the most. All we have to do is remember this, admit that we can do nothing without him and call out to him. We must surrender ourselves to God and trust in his love for us.

God loves you very much NewCatholic88. He sent His only Son, Jesus, who willingly died on the cross for you. He has drawn you home to His Church. Like the prodigal son, He has and continues to welcome you home with open arms. He has a plan and a purpose for you. You only have to love Him and trust Him in all things. Loving and trusting God begins with confessing your sins and sharing in the Body and Blood of Jesus.

I will pray a Rosary for you today, the 5 Joyful Mysteries. I encourage you to do the same. The Rosary has brought me great comfort in my most troubling times.

May God bless you and keep you, and may you serve as a shining beacon for God. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. AMEN.
