Yes! When I was really young, maybe round 13 or so, I heard on the Catholic radio a story of a girl who had prayed for her future husband, and kept it up. When she finally married, she told her husband about her prayers, and the day she had started (she’d kept a journal or some-such), and he turned to her in astonishment and said that was the day his home-town had been bombed and how he had survived and all.
This inspired me to pray for my future husband, and even though I didn’t think it would be that dramatic, and I maybe wasn’t praying every single day, I did keep praying, asking Him to watch over whomever He’d chosen for me, help him to become a good husband, and to prepare me for that one too, and to help me recognize him when our paths crossed. It was often agonizing, because I felt like I had so much to give and yet, no one to give it to. I had to go through a few boyfriends whom I knew, often within weeks, weren’t the one for me, and it was depressing. It almost got to the point where I couldn’t/didn’t want to be in relationships because it just didn’t seem to be what I was praying for, and I was getting to the point of actually getting into the habit of breaking up.
Finally, in college, I met someone who didn’t give up on me, and whom I couldn’t chase away. Lol. It took a year before I agreed to date him, but we dated for the rest of college, and during that time I slowly began to realize my prayer was being answered. Once I realized it, I wouldn’t let go of him either! We got engaged, and now, here we are! Married almost two years later and ready to give birth to our son anytime in the next couple weeks!! :extrahappy: (On my wedding day, I was told I was the calmest bride anyone had ever seen, and I agreed that I was totally calm, not at all worried or freaked out (a blessing, that). And it was because I had absolutely NO doubt whatsoever about the man I was marrying).
Patience is hard, but oh so beautiful when you see the fruits of it!

Sure we have our moments, our ups and downs, and there’ll be more to come, but by golly let no one say prayers aren’t answered!!
