God created them because He knew we’d think they were really cool. How would you answer a child who asks how the dinosaurs fit into the Creation?
I say God sent the meteor, and I can’t say I blame Him.mrS4ntA,
Now take dinosaurs some scientists say that a large meteor hit the earth and destroyed the dinosaurs. Now if that really happened did the meteor just hit the earth by accident or did God send the meteor to destroy the dinosaurs?
God created them because He knew we’d think they were really cool.
And there is an answer that a child would truly understand, even enjoy!!
Well, I wouldn’t care to meet one in a dark alley. Are you saying dinosaurs are not cool?.
Satan created the dinosaurs, everyone knows that.
God creates good, Satan creates evil. Oops, that won’t work. But are parasites “irreducibly complex” that is the question.
Sorry I’m getting warmed up to do battle at USF end of this month. I’ll record it for you.

I have no problem with using Tolkien to illustrate points, he was a brilliant man.
But you must realize that LOTR and the Silmarillion are works of fiction, they illustrate points, but in no way tell history.
I do not think that dinosaurs are any more corrupted than any other creature. Melkor litterally corrupted creation, he did not just make big lizards, he made EVIL creatures.

I am trying to get into grad school for medieval history, but I want to study all civilizations pre 1400’s all the way back to biblical times.
I just want to see what we may have lost because of our own arrogance.

I know this is an old thread, but it’s still open…and I’ve been thinking about this topic, so here goes…I have no problem with using Tolkien to illustrate points, he was a brilliant man.
