Did God the Father create Jesus?
Complicated question which can be looked at in several ways.Did God the Father create Jesus?
According to the teachings of the Church, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit exist as One God throughout Eternity.Did God the Father create Jesus?
It means “to cause to exist or occur”. It does not mean procreate. Thanks, but what does Begotten mean? As is Jesus is God’s only begotten son, or he was begotten by the father?
Thanks, but what does Begotten mean? As is Jesus is God’s only begotten son,(who became man) YES
or he was begotten by the father? No, that would imply that it happened at a particular time. We would say the Son IS eternally begotten of the Father. And Jesus is the eternal Son who became incarnate in the womb of Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit at a particular point in time.
Thanks a lot!!! It makes things more clear! And we should also be clear that the Son is eternally begotten of the Father. I think this has to do with the relationship that is between the Father and Son. But there was never a period when only the Father existed and then He begot the Son and then the Holy Spirit came into existence. God (Father, Son, and Spirit) always exists.
