A couple months ago the Corpus Christi came off of the cross and I did what I had read about which was to cut the rosary so it couldn’t be used and buried it. Did I accidentally commit a Grave sin? (I know it wouldn’t be mortal because I didn’t know I was doing something wrong if I was so I said grave sin).

I think you are confusing term. Grave matter is one of the elements required to make a sin mortal. You said you didn’t commit a mortal sin and you are correct. I don’t think you committed any sin as youbthought you were doing something good. Burying a sacred object is an acceptable way to dispose of it.

It was not a sin, but it was a grave. Forget about it and maybe ask Father about such things next time you see him.

Can someone please explain to me why they think in any possible way that the OP could have committed a sin of any kind. I would like a reference to the CCC to back up any claim.
I am speechless if that is considered a sin.

You cannot accidentally commit a grave sin.
You can - but not a mortal sin.

As for OP that doesn’t sound like a grave sin or a sin at all? Maybe I’m missing context…

Fear. It controls. It paralyzes. Yet, fear should have a foundation, a reasonable basis for exieriencing that fear. No such thing appears in this case.

God is not waiting around the corner to ensnare us in a trap and send us stright to hell! He would never have sent His Son to suffer if that was the case. He desires that we live in peace and that we enjoy eternal peace in His presence.

Since 1 on 5 in the western world (64 million Americans) suffer from some form of anxiety/OCD/scrupulosity (we see so much of it here), it is ditinctly posible that the OP could benefit from advice in this area. Beginning with their priest and continuing with a doctor if deemed appropriate.
