Romans 8:3 (King James Version)
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own
Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
Galatians 4:4
But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son,
born of a woman, born under law,
John 6:42
They said, “Is this not
Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, ‘I came down from heaven’?”
John 1:45
Philip found Nathanael and told him, "We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—
Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph."
Luke 4:22
All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips.
“Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” they asked.
Matthew 1:20
But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is
conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 13:55
"Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas?
Mark 6:3
“Where did this man get these things?” they asked. “What’s this wisdom that has been given him, that he even does miracles! Isn’t this the carpenter? Isn’t this Mary’s son and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him.
Luke 3:23
Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry.
He was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph,
at best, Jesus was concieved by the Holy Spirit using newly created
DNA of both his parents, only outside the tainted gene pool, but with the pure DNA of both his parents from an supernatural source. Otherwise, you have Mary committing adultry with God himself. Whereas, if Jesus is a special creation, using the
pure DNA of both his parents, then no adultry is charged. Those outside the family saw a family resemblence with his Father, Joesph in Jesus. So, Jesus did not get any “corrupt” DNA from Mary, but likely got newly created DNA that matches both his parents.
Since God whom is Spirit has no DNA, it is not likely he had God’s DNA, but had God’s Spirit as part of his makeup.
Colossians 2:9
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
So, my opinion, and every answer here is just that an opinion, and all are just as good, is that
- fulness of godhead dwells in his body.
- Holy Spirit created pure DNA of both parents without any of the defects of either parent - like original sin of Joseph.
- That Jesus did in fact resemmble his earthly father Joseph.
- Jesus as second Adam was NOT born with taint of original sin – remember Jesus shares in the glory of his Father and those with the taint of original sin fall short of the glory of God.
Hebrews 1:3
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
John 8:46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
1 Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
1 Pet. 2:22 “Who (Jesus) committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth”.
2 Cor. 5:21 For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
Isaiah 53:9 (King James Version)
And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Romans 5:12-17 Jesus is the Second Adam, whom like the First Adam was created without the stain of sin.
1 Corinthians 15:45
So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being” ; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.
